I ordered 1000 of those from Amazon for 8 bucks or so.
Nakai now is partially armed, and he also has backbanners because why not?
Some progress on painting. First, the Skink chief. I tried to do a polished bone effect on the skull and the helmet. Also, sorry about the crappy pictures.
The slaughterbrute's head.
Tara-xotyl's wings are now nearly finished! I was messing around with stippling, and I think it turned out really well. Also, the eye lenses are meant to be polished obsidian, but the picture doesn't really show that.
Started work on Oxyotl's skin. I also found a good backdrop for the pictures.
It's looking good there Jelly Donut!
Oxyotl's skin finished. I started work on the cat.
I finished the cat on Oxyotl's head, and painted the eyes and teeth of the Slaughterbrute. Does Oxyotl remind you of a certain member of LO?
Hmmm... indeed... looks like someone well known... but I can't figure out who it is...
Also this thumbnail pallet seem to become quite common among lizardmen players/painters...
Fire leech bola...
Great work and nice nail polish!
It just might!
I have decided to change this to a plog, because I have other (somewhat random) things I'm working besides conversions. Pictures of my army will be arriving soon, yet for now, here's my (small amount of) progress on Nakai.
Looks amazing, i can't wait to see thrm painted. Stoked to start converting myself!
No pictures there or am I missing something?
Forgot to upload the picture. Here it is.
Have a like now, then.
I started work on a custom Astrolith bearer, mostly because I was inspired by the work of others on LO. I'm wondering if I need to give it a different base size.
Also, here's a converted Skaven warlord. Still need to reposition the whip.
Since I chose to turn this into a plog, I'm assuming that means I now need to post various pictures of my army. Here they are. These were the first miniatures I ever painted, back in August 2016.
This guy had a sunleech bola (Yes, I know you can't mix weapons in a unit.), yet it broke off.
Note the attempt at fire.
Also nice idea having the chief's helmet that color, almost looks like it is made out of stone to me.
@Warden, it's actually metal, but between the bad quality of the pictures and early paintjob on the helmet, it does look a lot like stone.
Just a Skink chief I threw together.
