Hey guys,
A little bit of backgroun for the question: As some of you may know, I started my miniature adventure about two months ago, when I started reading the rules for 8th edition Fantasy. Unfortunately, I have yet to make it to an actual game, and so was excited that this weekend there is a noob-friendly tournament. However, the tournament is 9th Age rather than actual WHFB, and I'm not sure how well prepared I am for that, with my current knowledge of 8th edition rules. I don't have to win, I just want to play and not be a hindrance to the rest of the tournament.
My main question is: are the editions are significantly different in their rules? If they are, what are the main areas in which they are different? I don't expect anyone to give a comprehensive list of everything that is different, but any guidance as to what I should focus on would be much appreciated! I won't have time to read the entire 9th Age rules before this weekend, but if the versions are mainly different in a few key areas, maybe I could read enough to be able to participate. If someone does have a comprehensive list of differences, or a summary, I'd happily accept those!
Thanks in advance for any help, and as always, feel free to move the post if it's in the wrong forum!
