"basing" is referring to the materials used on the base the model stands on, such as static grass, flock, etc., and the act of putting said materials on the model's base. Usually when we refer to the base colors for a model it is called "base coating", though everyone has their own way of putting it. Someone may be able to explain it a little better. I'm pretty bad at explaining things lol.

Life has been hectic and painting has been on the backburner...but no longer! Gonna jump right in and finish up my priest (from the latest pics I posted) as well as my mounted scar vet and possibly my old blood on foot or my BSB. Cheers!

Re: Rokanos' WIP Lizzy Host Ok so I had my photographer come take some random shots, but I'll get to those later. Here is the skink chief I promised, although it is still WIP. The weapon and base are not done obv, didnt end up having the time tonight as I had hoped. (These pics really get up on the nittygritty of my painting (I like to call it naked eye splotch blending...for skin), from a short distance it looks much more blended I swear haha. Was my fault for telling her to take them super up close...not thinking of course) You can also tell I haven't clear coated any of these as I haven't found a clear coat I like yet. Enjoy! Skink Chieftan Here's another shot of the skink skirmishers I did a while back, done by my photographer obv, lord knows i have no idea how to take a pic. (no, the weapon isn't finished...weapons and I have this thing...where we like to bicker about what colors they are going to be...and I end up just not painting them till later...It's bad...I know.. ) Annddd another shot of the Slann in his chair, for kicks. Painting kind of got put on the backburner for other things, but I have been playing around with basing some models and have set myself a goal to finish up my unit of saurus warriors by spring at the latest. I'll be finishing up (hopefully) my skink chief and the other skirmishers within the next few days if all goes as planned. Just wanted to give you all a heads up, for those of you that follow this. Sorry for the lack of updates! btw, pics of my two salamanders completely finished should be up later tonight! (handlers will not be with them)
