Hi everyone. long time 40k-er here. thinking of making the jump into Age of Sigmar. the game looks fun, simplified, and less ridiculous (i mean that all in a good way). I've always wanted to play lizardmen/seraphon, and after a couple of weeks lurking on the forums here, I've researched enough to come up with three potential lists that look good on paper. i'd really appreciate the communities opinions on which list looks best, and any optimizations that could be made to any of the lists. I currently own 0 seraphon models, so am not tied to any list. __________________________________ Army One Leaders Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (260) Saurus Scar-Veteran on Carnosaur (260) Skink Starpriest (100) Battleline 5 x Saurus Knights (120) 5 x Saurus Knights (120) 5 x Saurus Knights (120) Units 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) Battalions Firelance Starhost (60) Shadowstrike Starhost (120) Total: 1980/2000 __________________________________ Army Two Leaders Engine of the Gods (240) Saurus Eternity Warden (140) Slann Starmaster (260) Battleline 15 x Saurus Guard (300) 5 x Saurus Guard (100) 5 x Saurus Guard (100) Units 1 x Salamanders (60) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) Stegadon (260) Battalions Eternal Starhost (80) Thunderquake Starhost (120) Total: 2000/2000 __________________________________ Army Three Leaders Engine of the Gods (240) Skink Starpriest (100) Battleline 5 x Saurus Guard (100) 10 x Skinks (80) 10 x Skinks (80) Units 6 x Ripperdactyl Riders (280) 3 x Skink Handlers (40) 1 x Salamanders (60) 1 x Salamanders (60) 5 x Chameleon Skinks (120) Behemoths Bastiladon (300) Bastiladon (300) Battalions Thunderquake Starhost (120) Shadowstrike Starhost (120) Total: 2000/2000 thanks for your help in advance!
Lust 1 and 3 I like as is. list 2 I would drop the salamander and handlers, and 5 guard. Drop the steg for a second bastiladon and add a starseer.
doing this he cant take thunderquake. its a bad must imo. I like the 1st list as it is, maybe dropping firelance for a 10 skink unit as a screen or objective keepers. In list 3 even if i like it, i think u will have serious problems with scenarios casue of hero shortage/ spell luck( only one spell). But i would like to test it
List 1 and 2 and both good, for different reasons, if you need to play defensively, I'd go for list 2 for sure, but if you want to pack a punch, then list 1 will do it.
To be perfectly honest, I like lists 1 and 2 best. 3 was more playing to the idea that those are our two bests battalions, so build a list that has both. i really like list 1 because its the cheapest to build, has carnosaurs, and is quite aggressive in playstyle. list 2 is obviously a defensive power house, but can you win games like that? finally, am i just being too attached to the idea of using two battalions, and should I try building a list thats focused around one of them?
