    So whats the best way to run skinks a big block of 40 with 2 smaller 10 man units. Or 5 x 10 man units

    It really depends on what you want them to do, any Skink unit under max size won't do alot of damage but if you want them to roadblock units, grab objectives smaller units work well.

    Someone should write a "how to most effectively harass your opponent with skinks" article because I can never seem to make then survive long enough to roadblock anything lol

    Well, skinks don't exactly "harass" the enemy, unless you consider doing 1-2 wounds during the game an harassment (a 10 skinks unit).

    The fact is: 10 skinks are too few in number to effectively deal some damage.
    hordes of 40 can be effective, but at that point they are no more an harassment, but one of your damage sources.

    Units of 10 skinks are useful because:
    - they are cheap and spammable / disposable
    - they screen more precious models or block choke points;
    - they can look out sir your heroes;
    - they can grab objectives;
    - unless they are the only unit charged by the enemy, they are going to flee and survive.

    I guess I didnt mean "harass" in the traditional military sense of the word, I more meant it as to pester, to bother, or to annoy the opponent. Basically how to effectively keep them getting in the way of your enemy and not immediately dying.

    i also think small unit are better.

    i tried blocks of 40, it is nice to hit at 3 and you can reroll with astrolith or the Slann"the great dragon"constellation.
    But, you wound at 5+ ( boltspitter) 4+ (Javelins) , if i`m lucky i do 5 wounds with a block of 40 and then they save 3 of them.

    You could say i roll unlucky, but i have discussed this with other seraphon players and they all have the same result.

    If only we could reroll those to wound rolls, skinks would be good in large blocks

    For now it`s an bad idea to think skinks will do lots of damage, they won`t .
    Use them as roadblocks , that is what they are good at now (if only we had the poison rule , but that was yesterday)

    Just treat them as the fodder they are and don't expect them to actually survive for long against any serious threat. And anyways, your 10 skinks getting shredded by a 40 man souped up death star is perfectly worth, it means you prevented that deathstar from touching something valuable and bought yourself some additional time.

    Wary fighter might occasionally make em last longer, but you won't always have the freedom of retreating them in time. So I wouldn't count on that being too reliable. And regardless, you can always just summon new fodder.
