Hey I decided to post some of my poems on Lustria. Lol they tend to be a bit dark but nonetheless here they are. —————————————————— Beware the beast of shadow, it whispers in the Dark Beware the dark things silent for they shall always hark The dark thing down here lurking, its stare like an icy Fang We meet his claws with steel, the result is a resounding clang His cries sorrowful and soulless, fill our hearts with dread We know we cannot hold, we know we will soon be dead Woe to us, soon our glorious line will be at an end Woe to us, soon our majestic halls will be stained with red I know my brethren have fallen all but me The beast is not consoled, and will not heed my plea It closes on me wraithlike, the shadow of my doom And now I know that my end will be soon (I might reword the end a bit because it doesn’t quite fit.). Tell me what you guys think!
Brilliant! I agree with @Paradoxical Pacifism - the ending works very well. Personally there are a few odd words I would drop to aid the flow a bit, but otherwise it’s great!
Lol this poem was written for a D&D campaign. Sad thing is the campaign didn’t get far due to us having a nasty habit of ending campaigns quickly. But I might re use this poem or make a new one for a campaign soon. Also here is another one I wrote. The Shadow approaches me like an aberration. It watches my every move and never breaks fixation. A chill creeps up my spine causing me despair. Causing my morale to go without repair. As it nears i suddenly see it’s cold dark eyes. Clouded and soulless it approaches with sinister pride. Should I try to run, try to run for aid. Alas it watches me with claws like iron blades. This one was a random poem I wrote after playing a horror game on my phone (wasn’t scary but the one bad guy I liked to play had long claws and I got the idea from that.)
