In a single vote system the winner would be ultimately decided by those who did not put forth an entry themselves. That said, I like the two vote system.
I'm hoping to get my Acropolis of Heroes finished in time, or maybe a dwarf brewery. I'm glad to see so many people excited and motivated by this, hopefully it keeps growing.
My motivation is pretty terrible at times, I've already made a start, got some of the materials I need. I get pretty perfectionist at times, I'm busy pulling and placing cork sheets at the moment and sticking rocks everywhere in the right places. Not sure if the mix of brown and greys make it look odd and not right.
You are assuming that only participants vote and that all participants do a pirates vote. I am tentatively planning to make an entry, but I'm not expecting to objectively make something better than everyone else. I saw @eron12 's WIP Acropolis of heroes. I doubt I can top that, but the more participants the better, right? I've been planning to make a cluster of huts out of Pringles can for over a year. This contest can help me justify keeping a Pringles can all this time. Would an entry be one hut or could I enter a cluster of huts and maybe d3 obstacles representing a settlement?
Yes @Scalenex the more participants the better, please do make an entry. As long as your entry fits a max base size of 12*12inch it can have as many huts as you wish, with as much scatter detailing as you feel your piece deserves.
When I measured my base, it's about 11x11 I'm starting to lose motivation, I really need to be down the workshop more often, helps keep me going so I don't procrastinate. I sense something going wrong with it too. Unless it's just me being a perfectionist. And I can't get my claws on some rat spares without buying a box, they are always sold out
Take a little break from it you have plenty of time yet, don't give up I'm sure I speak for most members when I say I was looking forward to your entry as well as everyone else's. I have sketched out my tower so far!
Well it's more of a slow progress. The ground is more painful to do than painting the platforms, it will have a mix of hand made and existing stuff. I did a rough layout sketch for the mini puddley-lake and layout of platforms, it may end up very different from the rough sketch.
Hey ho guys and girls as it's the 18th and the comp closes on the 18th of Sept, I thought I would ask how you are doing with your projects?. Mine is still not started due to the holidays.
Mine is progressing slowly. I really need to get into gear and make some serious progress on it. September 18th will be here in no time.
