The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer II

But the Realm of Aqysh already burns all the time....

i give it 2 years and you will be a consistent AoS fan. ;)

:joyful::joyful::joyful::joyful:

While not mathematically impossible I wouldn't bet on it. Here is a list of my most likely gaming situation by the end of the next 2 years (from most probable to least probable)...

  1. Still into 8th edition
  2. Switched to T9A
  3. Quit wargaming entirely
  4. Switched to earlier warhammer edition
  5. Switched to KoW
  6. Switched to another non-AoS wargame
  7. Switched to 9th edition after a million-to-one surprise release by GW
  8. Fell into a huge some of money, purchased a controlling share of GW and eradicated AoS
  9. Hell freezes over... no wargaming for anyone
  10. Switched to AoS

P.S. As unlikely as it is, #8 is my favorite! :D

Frankly speaking... As of now, that would be a financially irresponsible decision on GWs part after th risk they took with it.

The game plays smooth, and with futher tweaking, is fairly balanced. As opposed to 8th edition.

But if you try it, you might like it. If you dont, i hear 9th age is good, and KoW is a decent substitue for 8th.

I completely agree that scraping AoS would be a huge financial mistake for GW. The game is apparently turning in quite the tidy profit for them.

By huge amount of money, I meant an obscene amount (think Bill Gates), at which point it wouldn't matter if it ran GW into the ground. ;) Don't look at it as an attempt to make a sound financial investment but rather an irresponsible, money fueled, "dance puppets dance" vengeful power-trip. :D (I did say it was HIGHLY improbable... but a Lizard can dream)

Plus I'd personally knock over that golden sigmarine statue at head office and replace it with a golden Slann!

We should do that anyway. I preffered the Marine, even if i hate spacemarines.
Agreed... at least the Space Marine was somewhat original. The Sigmarine is just an AoS Space Marine knockoff. Might as well have the original thing.

My dream, actually, is not that they scrap AoS, but that they release 9th Ed., along with a trickle of updated codexes, starting with Beastmen, Brettonia, and Skaven, through Specialist Games. Basically saying, "our focus in our stores is going to be Age of Sigmar, but for those of you who want to play the old way, here are the rules for it." I know I'd still play AoS, but I'd definitely buy a lot of the rule books for 9th Ed. if they released them.

Personally I'd rather see AoS get.... never mind, I'll be good! :angelic:
