It does seem rather strange. I would have preferred if they would have stuck more closely to the precise units defined in the 8th Edition army books (and the 6th / 7th edition books in the cases of Skaven, Bretonnia and Beastmen).

They probably thought it was prudent to expand the roster in light of few unit choices.

Honestly, they could have had more variety with blessed spawnings

That would have been my preference as well. The Sacred Spawnings from back in our 6th edition days were really cool.

Especially with hexotal being in the limelight. Bright blue an orange saurus legions.

I also am skeptical at how regimented the saurus are acting in game play videos

Sacred Spawning would have been so great! :D But to be honest I'm happy about the feral version, as they add a early game choice for big monsters, which wouldn't have been there had they not made them into the game.

To each their own I guess. For me the feral versions just feel "wrong" somehow.

Personally, i do like the feral units. I think they add a nice and fun dynamic to the game, and you can get them fairly early on, so you don't have to wait until the late game to get the big monsters.

Blessed spawnings are a thing in the game, albeit it's a campaign only mechanic. The blessed spawnings will be unit's that fulfill a very specific purpose fx. Monster killers, good against infantry, good health but low damage and so on.

Still agreed, despite above point.

Where did you get this blessed spawning info?

I get that, though. They were never a thing in the TableTop, so for players wanting a closer bijection of the games, I suppose it sort breaks the fun of rediscover the joy of the TT :)

It's still going to be loads of fun!

Sad i wont get to play this game...cant justify the cost of a new PC for just one game...it a long shot but o hope they port it to XBOX or PS4

Thats a negative ghostrider.

CA has never ported their main titles to console.

besides, you generally can justify it based on the number of hours you spend. If you price it out right, a medium rig to be able to play TWW and TWW2 should run you ~750 or so.

Divide that by 1000 plus hours, boom.

They mentioned it on a stream, I believe it was a Skaven campaign stream they had going when they mentioned it.

Actually, you can probably buy a laptop that will run it for $300-$400. But that can be out of most of our price ranges too.
