The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer II

I really like those raptor moves they have animated into the movement of the Sauruses. Reminds me of some of the awesome scenes from the JP-series, while it also makes them feel quite distinct from other heavy-elite Infantry :p

A quick guide to battles within Total Warhammer 2.

CA have revealed halv of the free content road map for Total Warhammer 2.

WH2_FLC_Array.png

The first is the mega campagin that combines game 1 and 2.

The second is a Skaven legendary lord, my guess is either Ikit or Thanqual.

Number 3 i don't know what is, but looks facinating.

The fourth is a High Elves Lord. Could be any of their lords really.

The fifth is a lord for the Lizardmen. I have no clue, maybe Tehenhauin.

also in this release was confirmation that dragons from game one will get breath attacks in the mega campaign for game 2.

furthermore, the name for the mega campaign is : Mortal Empires

the last sentence was hinting at something NOT mortal stirring at the far horizon.

calling it now: TOMB KINGS CONFIRMED!

Funny how the second game ends up with most of my favorite Warhammer faction :P I obviously prefer Lizardmen, but highelves and tomb kings are armies I always have enjoyed :D

my first love was skaven, my second tomb kings, and now my lizzies. warhammer relationships are weird.

I prefer Lizardmen but Orcs & Goblins are cool too. I only went for Lizardmen because O&G are too brutal AND the mechanic where they beat each other up is nothing I want. I also like Wood Elves and would have bought them if they didn't have tiny heads (and 50% of the minis lost heads or arms after assembly) and they had more regular regiments instead of skirmishers. Looking forward to High Elves in WH2. Tomb Kings are impressive because of their ancient Egypt theme.

My ideal army would be Tigers, living in the forest, one with nature...not brutal but intelligent...and with ARCHERS! And cavalry.

The army I dislike the most is...Skaven! I don't like rats in real life (one of the few animals I find creepy) and the theme with rats, the plague, illness etc. is disgusting. :)

I don't like Ogres either.

What I dislike in Warhammer in general is the death obsession. Yeah, it's war but having a ton of skulls everywhere is too dark in my opinion. I'd rather see something the units believe in, something positive instead of being surrounded by death and destruction. Dark and evil races should have skulls, blood, bones and others of course but not all races.

tomb kings also have airs of babylon and Mesopotamian culture.

The india equivalent, IND has tiger beastmen in the fluff

I agree that warhammer is a tad gloomy :) Something I never bothered too much about, I personally never paid much attention to the overall "end of the world is nigh"-theme of the world and just played with my friends with our own concept of how the world worked :) Which follows in line with the philosophy of the total war games, whom are all about your own idea of how the world should unfold.

honestly, i like the gloom. if you seperate the old world, and focus on how the lizardmen are fighting a battle against ultimate darkness, its awesome.

especially because they are not your typical knight in armor defending the world but instead magical mayaincatec space lizards defending the world.

Yes, some sources claim that Tomb Kings will be the first WH 2 DLC. :)

They have more or less confirmed that the Tombkings will be the first major DLC.

tomb kings confirmed! tomb kings confirmed!

Are Tomb Kings actually confirmed or is this just speculation? Links?

My favourite factions are: Lizardmen, Warriors of Chaos, Tomb Kings and Dark Elves.

My least favourite factions are: Empire, Bretonnia and High Elves.

There are two things GW loves above all else: #1 Space Marines #2 Skulls
