The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer II

With Lord Kroak on my side and +3 rank on Saurus recruitment bonus I'm seriously going to try a rush run to finish Vortex campaign before turn 100 :)

well the description on their official post did mention that since they're a lord and hero you could stick them in a single army together and just have them go on their own little adventures. But they also did point out that you should stick em with an actual army to use them properly.

205 armored peasant mobs :wideyed:

well that's silly.

I do like that they've started switching to faction-wide buffs for things like smithies and resources instead of regionwide upon recruitment though. Was a giant pain in the arse to put your recruitment in say spain cuz you had an iron mine there when your frontlines where in east germany or egypt. It adds immersion, but spending 10 turns recruiting and then 30 turns before your new army actually makes it to the front line was a pain.

They're let with like half their hp in most of those examples as far as I can see. Seems good enough.

And most of the ones that put up a good fight need to use supporting abilities (magic, etc.) while the saurian has nothing. That does make a diffference.

Kind of surprised there's no comparison with how well they murder lesser troops though. Only against other behemoths.

I partly agree. While that was a major problem for me I think it would be kinda weird if I can conquer a small settlement on another continent and (maybe even cheaply) recruit a full stack of my most advanced troops there two turns later.

That's global recruitment, not the global buffs :p

The global recruitment I dislike a bit more too. Rome II does it quite well imho. Buffs from say an iron mine are faction wide, recruitment can only be done in a province with the necesary barracks and whatnot.

So CA has said there will be a present coming for us this christmas, but as the naggering and overtly exctiable community that the Total war series has, they managed to rustle the Community manager out of what is inside the present, and it will be another lord pack. Only 3 months between dlc's, that is nice and will lessen the content drought the game has suffered, before the previous dlc.

That's not a Khemric Titan :(

Bah humbug!

Would it be able to compete with the Peasants I wonder :pompus::p
Hahaha... maybe!

I highly doubt CA will ever introduce it, but I'd be so happy to see it make the cut. I didn't think we would ever see the Dread Saurian so it is possible, however unlikely, that the Titan makes its way onto the digital battlefield!
