Compared to what we have here in Canada, your public transportation is outstanding. When I was in London and had just started the using the tube system, I remember missing a train early on; I could literally see it pulling away. I could only think to myself dammit, until I looked up at the sign to see that the next train was arriving in 1 minute. I've had the same happen to me in Toronto and it cost me an hour of waiting around. I was so pleased with public transport in London.

I talked to several people while there, and they all said that compared to other European countries (Switzerland being mentioned by most), the transportation system in England is poor. So I guess it comes down to what you compare it to.

You can't use London as the basis of judgement on the UK transport system, London transport is fantastic the rest of the UK is shite

Based on thread title:

Was hoping for numerous pictures of Lizardmen themed tables at Warhammer World.

Disappointed. :lurking:
How can that be disappointing? Lustria Online is gathering together to take over Warhammer World! That is epic.

Can someone going please knock over that Sigmarine statue for me? A thousand Slann blessings to the brave warrior who completes this monumental feat.

No promises. :P

In all seriousness though, I will be there and if other Lustrians are going too, I'll be more than happy to meet up, chat, share a drink, etc.
I will be bringing my full sculpting kit, some minis, spares and tools, so I'm also happy to sit down at a table and go over some sculpting bits and pieces with people one on one.

I'll have a think today and work out a way of making it easier for people to find each other too.

Urgh, makes me wish I can go now. It's a 3 hour drive once I have a look at the map. Plus being a Saturday I assume, no one can take me. I don't drive, even though I'm 20

Public transport and a travel lodge, job done!

Seems to be a few people interested either way, so even if it's not a massive event we'll probably have enough for a few games. I'll check the calendar and see when a decent date is going to be.

Just run... run like you have never run before. Run faster and longer than you ever thought you could. Believe!

Just take the bus!

Well, if you guys bring it off, manage a jungle-themed table, and get photographs — I shall refrain from being dissapointed. :)

If a game of 8th edition breaks out = that would be epic.

Bus would be a nightmare to take. Train roughly the same time as driving.
Oh well
I think I might just got MCM instead, but still keep getting ill.

I would definitely be up for a jaunt to Warhammer World... question is cost of fuel (in case of driving) or cost of tickets for public transport... which considering I keep spending it on Warhammer and driving lessons the the moment, I probably can't afford it currently. That and booking the appropriate time off work (which would typically be at least a month in advance). That and transporting all the models there would be a nightmare on public transport, not to mention saving up spending money on goodies at Warhammer World (don't they still have the Bugman's Bar models and drinking mugs available to buy there still? *Quickly goes to check*) Now, if this was to be planned for next year, I would be a lot more likely to join in...

Currently I am thinking October half term might be a good bet, potentially 28th/29th October. How does that suit anyone?

Very unlikely for me.

Don't know if anyone from the site was here (I didn't bump into anyone), but will be here tomorrow if anyone is (and if you are and want to meet for a chat) I will be on level 2 (design area where Jes, Aly and all the others are based) 12am.

I will loiter by the main entrance.

Aww man, I'm so bummed that I missed this. Though it was also MCM Expo weekend and that event took priority for me sadly. Hope it went down well, and there's always next year no?
