Okay, that right there? That is awesome.
I thought it would have been the first (glorious) post of the new page, but i've made a mistake…
Dear sotek, it is awesome, I have never seen terrain that awesome! But is it wrong of me to think about how my carnosaurs will devour all the dwarves in the image?
The next one i will post (tomorrow?) will be even more impressive!
Most of us mortal mammals only live some 80 years. You think we got time to wait?
lets see them, I look forward to it
here we are again, with the second big diorama.
the setting is the attack to the Empire's city of Nuln, made by skaven, which erupted from below the city.
Sadly, the guy with the Nuln's defenders was not with us at the moment of the placing, so the diorama was simply filled by skaven.
The central square, overrun by skaven, which are coming from the wooden ramp after the rats broke through the ceiling of the cave
Overview of the underground and of the different Clans involved in the attack.
Soon-soon rat will kill rat to gain the edge!
Detail. the posters on the walls are amazing!
Those shoud have been the defenders, painted as true Nuln soldiers. The steam tank conversion is pretty neat.
That guy really needs us to save him from those nasty skaven. As always an awesome diorama, but still lacks the lizards to make it truly perfect
Seriously, more awesome.
Those dioramas are glorious
Love the little nooks and crannies in the dwarf fortress, lots of places to hide special characters!
Noooo! GW is finally killing a bunch of HE, WE, Empire and Dwarf minis. Sadly I missed my chance to get a few of the ones I wanted but you other country-ers may still be able to if you hurry!
Unfortunately so, in preparation for this dreadful upcoming Cities of Sigmar tome. Furthermore, the most irritating things are that:
The awful hunchback half-Orc Empire State Trooper models are still blighting the GW webstore with their presence, yet the archers, probably the only decent set in the 7th Edition Empire infantry sculpts, have gone.
The Dwarf Cannon and Organ Gun set has gone, yet the Empire Helblaster and Helstorm set is still there - Dwarfs have always made superior artillery, yet GW continues to ignore this fact.
Dark Elves, despite not fitting into the Order grand alliance at all, didn't lose a single model, yet High Elves and Wood Elves both lost pretty much all their ranges (only the Phoenix Guard, Phoenix and Shadow Warriors remain for High Elves and the Eternal Guard remain for Wood Elves). They always seemed to be one of GW's favourites in 8th Edition, and it seems that they remain so in AoS.
Another one bites the dust, slowly going the way of the tomb kings and the fair Bretonnians.
...side note, this was a random find from a few years ago, from York titled "Lock Up your Sheep."
Granted it doesn't look like these models are actually the GW line, but I would love to make this board
So...as is fortuitous, I just picked up a shedload of high elves
Nice - which units did you manage to nab before GW executed them?
Buddy had pheonix new in box, pheonix guard NIB, Glade guard and dragon princes NIB
Then a shedload of swordmasters, 60 archers, and various iterations of Spearmen.
Jaysus that diorama is incredible! And the models are so well painted as well. Makes me wish for a diorama thread in Itza so we can see all.these great works in one piece!
Honestly would it kill GW to make some of these generic non-trademarkable races again. Sure other people will copy you but you always can just beat the competition with your superior sculpts and plastic quality.
