Lawl... Remember that whole bit on the last page (drawing by shapes and that Owl)? Well it's like that: - Jaw moves down and back (like a hinge) when mouth goes from closed to open. - So throat and neck then get bunched because of the loose skin. - Because the model is mouth closed only, it therefore means I cut the throat out completely in order to fit the new one in place. Everything is connected (to quote Cloud Atlas) No one part moves without affecting the other parts attached to it. one set of muscles contract, therefore another set must lengthen.
Here we go.... late, but I did have more than my fair share of life's little surprises (including a 5th venomous spider bite). This was done for a friend of mine, he's a good painter too, so I'll post photos when he's completed it.
