Anyone ever play Zombicide? I am curious if the game is any good, or if anyone has found it fun.

Its more of a board game than a tabletop game exactly, or at least that is what I thought until I saw this:

Pretty epic 3D, specially made Zombicide terrain boards.

What I find really cool about this setup is the modular board pieces. Each "block" has buildings, sidewalks, and part of the street, and they naturally line up with all the other pieces. I really like this concept, and am thinking of ways that this could be used for a Mordheim/Necromunda board, maybe with canals instead of roads.

Also their is a Medieval version of Zombicide called "Black Plague," sounds pretty cool too. I have seen a couple of free rules online, I bet the game could be played with some generic Warhammer terrain and regular GW or even KOW zombies.

I haven't played regular Zombiecide, but own both Black Plague and the Wolfburg expansion. It's a lot of fun and you get a lot of crazy stories out of it. We've had one character soak epic amounts of damage (45+ hits a turn for several turns), used other characters to clear massive numbers of zombies. I think my favorite is using the archer to clear out whole squares. Iron Rain may be my favorite ability in the game.

I played it as part of a games club a little while back. Its good fun in a group! Make sure you have someone on your team who knows the rules well before you start though. It can be frustrating constantly flicking through the book.

I can see that being an issue. The rulebook was an interesting read, but not having played it I couldn't say how much fun it would be or how it really works.

There are some great Black Plague boards out there too.

I also came across a certain set of alternate models to be used as the zombie survivors for use in the Medieval setting:

I still prefer my own take on the dread-wizard Tim though :D

...and on the more modern side of the game, there are these alternate Zombicide survivors based on Scooby Doo!

I bet a version of these guys would look good on Betrayal at the House on the Hill too.

Those Monty Python knights, et al. were one of the sets of kickstarter upgrades. One of the guys in my gaming group bought the Black Plague kickstarter so he has all of those as well as everything else they produced for it.

I've played it! It's a cool game, if you're into zombies. Now that you've posted that I can see there are some really cool conversion possibiltiies...

Yep, I've played it, it is very similar to "last night on earth".
Both of them are pretty fun.

Ps. hadn't realized there where so many custom versions.

Agreed, the building potential is really neat!

I have never heard of "last night on earth," I will have to look it up.

I am disgusted by CMoN customer service, so no have not played
