Only half of your stuff is painted?!?... Damn that's a mighty impressive collection. So I guess you won't be converting them all to round bases anytime soon? ;)

Oh my, no. That is utter rediculousness. It's a branding, IP, bureaucracy nightmare that I'm not going to get swept up in.

Good... our numbers are growing! I refuse to rebase as well.

Lol! I hope AoS is good and doesn't deviate totally change from 8th. But considering how tight-lipped GW has been about all of this, I don't hold out much hope, unfortunately.

To be honest I hope that AoS is either really good (so that it is worth transitioning into) or really bad (so more people stick with 8th)

All your stuff is amazingly well done.

I am in the "piss off I am not rebasing" camp and agree that AoS either needs to be great or terrible. My group will be playing 8th Ed for the foreseeable future.

    Thanks!

Yeah, my usual group consists of myself and four other guys, all of whom I taught how to play. They mostly listen and look to me to organize or make any changes, so if I think we need to stick with 8th, I don't think they'll have a problem with that at all. There are some very large gaming groups in the surrounding areas (they even host a large, rather well-known tournament), and it'll be interesting to see what they do, but from talking with them, nobody in their group played End Times rules and everyone is waiting for AoS with folded arms and much trepidation.

Another good thing that we have going here is a dedicated forum for finding local people wanting a game. They simply post what game they are wanting to play, when and point total and when someone responds, they set up a meeting place. Simple and negates so much searching game stores for (hopefully) someone to play a pick-up game. It also keeps you from having to play the same people every time. All of the local store owners know about it and advertise for it since it usually brings potential customers into their store. It works out great! If more things like this were set up, I think 8th wouldn't have a problem continuing to exist outside of AoS (if it flops).

Hey, guys! Sorry I've been silent for a bit. Things got crazy.

Anyway, here are a few models that I've finished recently.

First off, my third and final Warhawk Rider! I'm so glad to be done with these guys. They were a joy to work on, but for some reason, I dreaded getting started on them. I think that it mostly had to do with the fact that I knew that I'd want to do a lot of altering to them which would requite a lot of green stuff work...which I'm not very good at. Still, I'm pleased with how they turned out and they fit my vision for them rather well. I hope you like them!

The other one that I have managed to finish is this Skaven Engineer. He is the last one that I wanted to do for my friend. Even though I really have no desire to collect or play Skaven, I have to admit, they have some really nice models! They were fun to paint and had so much character in each piece!

    They look great @Chicken Lips

But and it's a very small but the end of the Skaven gun needs a black dot, c'mon!

Haha, yeah, I thought about that, but I really didn't care all that much. I may go back and drill it out tonight. ;) Also, funny how you notice things so much more once they are all blown up here on the screen. I just noticed that I need to paint the strap that is holding on his skull (useful GW tool ) a leather color.

Very nice as usual, can you do a pic of your terrain and table?

I'd be happy to! BUT I don't really have any good pics right now and it takes me a little bit to set it up. I could probably try to do that sometime this weekend, but I'll have to play it by ear because the first of my quads could be coming home from the NCIU any day now. She's doing really great at 4lbs 11 oz and they tell us to be ready really soon. The other three are a little ways behind her and probably have about another month in the hospital. Once she comes home, things will get crazy, logistically. My wife and I will have to juggle between staying at home with my little girl, Georgie, and going up to the hospital to help the other kids. Oh yeah, and my work. There's always that.

Anyway, I will certainly try to get it all set out and pics taken of the terrain. It's not really anything special, but I LOVE the game mat that I have! It is a Frontline Gaming mat. It's like a really big mousepad. It rolls out smoothly, is weighted so it stays down, and movement trays glide across it without any wrinkles forming anywhere! No cocked dice! I have attached a few pics that I just happened to already have on my phone. Sorry for the poor quality.

Yeah, prepare as we try, we'll never truly ever be totally ready. I am really excited though! It's definitely a new chapter in our lives! We tried to get pregnant for five years and then after six fertility treatments, we were successful. And boy were we successful! *Funny story. Right before we were to go to the doctor to have our first ultrasound (see a few blobs) we had about an hour to kill. So, with images of babies dancing through our heads, we went by Babies R' Us to do some daydreaming. When we got over to the stroller section, I placed my hands on a pair of dual strollers and told my wife, Well, I guess we'll be needing these! One for you and one for me!" Boy does God have a sense of humor! :D*

We have been waiting for this for a long time though, and we are eagerly awaiting what is to come. My wife has been a 3rd grade teacher for the last 10 years and even got her education degree so that we could homeschool our children someday. When I look back now, pretty much everything that has happened in our lives has been preparing us for these kids, so you know that I am all about it! Let the adventures begin! :woot:

We were the same tried for years and nothing, 2 cycles of IVF nothing going for the third and my wife fell pregnant, we were told it was 99% impossible for it to happen naturally so imagine the surprise 5 years later when she got pregnant again, there won't be a third :nurse:

I finally managed to finish my Glade Lord on Great Eagle last night! This was a tough one. There aren't really all that many models that I could find to "surf" the eagle in this manner. It was a challenge. Let me know what you think!
