Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Here's something that I'm working on for my Wood Elves. I'm trying to make a Branch Nymph (Champion) for my unit of Dryads. They really don't have a model that really stands out from the rest to classify them as the Branch Nymph so I just thought I'd make one! I thought this could symbolize a Nymph's ability to morph into something else and still represent a very clear danger. I also get to use my bits! Anyway, it's still a WIP but I wanted it to appear as though it's bursting forth from the ground to attack it's enemies.

Thanks! It's actually rather resilient. The "vine whips" are all plastic (one of the hand options from the Treeman kit) and move nicely. The base is what's taking so long (and well...life). It takes everything quite a while to set up and cure. Hopefully I'll have some pics up soon but we'll have to see. My grandfather just passed away yesterday so I'll have to juggle that as well as the quads and work, so it might not leave very much time for my hobby.

I'm sorry to hear about your Grandfather's passing. My condolences.

I lost my brother 2 months ago, still find it hard some days.
Oh, I hate to hear that. Losing a Grandfather is one thing, but losing a sibling is something else entirely. I can't imagine. My condolences.

Cheers guys he was only 42 as well, but lets say he had a troubled life which eventually caught up with him.

I also had a chance to work on my O&G Giant. I've had him for several years, but only partially painted him. I finally got him out and finished him.

His name is Muk-luk. He's the older of identical twin brothers (who don't look anything alike).

Fantastic job on the giants. Can't wait to see the younger brother completed.

Best of all they're on squares (or rectangles in this case)!

My son is looking to get a Giant for his army soon, we have around 10 to paint then his army is done, my LM are almost done, then onto my 5000 point DE army, Jez can't believe how many I have I'm sure they are mating in the drawer!

Your son is running Ogres, right? I'm about to build/paint a Thundertusk as soon as I'm finished with this second Giant and give it to a friend of mine. The Giants are great fun in play and to model/paint! The kit comes with so many spare parts that can be used in to ton of different projects! (Like a scared villager running away, a flat goblin who what obviously stepped on, kegs, sign posts, bags with bodies stuffed into them and a bunch of different hands and head options. It's a fun kit to have just for the parts, even if you don't run an army who uses Giants!

I know what you mean with the multiplying thing! I will be going through my stock and find something that I had forgotten that I bought. I usually have to check before I order something, that I haven't already gotten it. Crazy, but I love it!

He has just bought the Thundertusk and we built it as a Stonehorn because it looks cool, his exact words, he is really excited with the AOS rules as he can understand the game and is itching to play.
