Blog Pinkies Paint log: Terrain for the terrain competition added

Well painting my templeguards appear go much faster since I've already painted all shields and temple bases. I hope I can be done with my 10th templeguard tomorrow, obviously not counting the shoulder pads.

DSC_0004.jpg DSC_0003.jpg DSC_0002.jpg Here's s paint in progress of my templeguards. I'm still waiting for the shoulder pads (should arrive this week) and for that reason I haven't glued on the shields on more than two models.

Also I'll be making some metal movement trays with my father tomorrow and order magnets for the rest of my army next week. I'm excited because magnets are s world of different and also make transportation much easier, since you can put down entire units in the tray and wrap them in some protection e material and into a box. That makes setting the models up much faster and the overall transportation much more pain free.

They look very nice, I'm at a crossroads with my models atm and a thread will be going up today.

Thanks :D

I've been messing about with magnets and metal movement trays for all my units. It's looking great, but now I'm back to painting TGs. I'll see if I can have 10 more done this week! :D

The colour scheme on these guys is amazing! These look brilliant! The warpaint detailing is fantastic!

Thanks man :D Can't wait until all 30 are done :3

Haha yeah I also got 80 or so skinks let, a lot of them have lost an arm or their javelin is broken so I'll have to check them all out and order some more bits.

I think, when painting a lot of "boring" models, that it's good to mix it up. Say paint 10 skink and then paint something awesome. That way painting skinks won't tear so much on your enjoyment. :)

Blasting through my templeguards as fast as possible. I'm hoping that I can finish up another two today, leaving only the final 10 models to be painted.

I'll post pictures once the entire unit it finished.

I'm not home until Sunday so no painting before then. I hope to be finished with the entire unit by the end of next week.

I'm currently working on my Godly Engine. I put magnets on the howda to make it easier to transport. My experience tells me that transportation of these high models tend to make things break off.

I'm still considering how I'll paint the actual howda..

Other things I've painted:
Some Salamanders and Caimans (Kroxigors). To be specific I converted the Caiman models I won from the terrain competition here, to be my command unit. I think the result is fairly good. My biggest issue was creating a believable musician, which tbh can be quite difficult (at least for me!) when you need to fit some sort of instrument to the model's body. The champion and banner was very easy.

grand chancellor awesome

Might I suggest running a reikland flesh shade or agrax earth shade over the crevices of the steggie's skin so as to blend a little of that stark colour change?
