Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

I'm thinking either cold, rocky terrain (as is usual for DE armies) or doing something like a Black Arc raiding army theme and go with a beach/water look. What do you think? Any ideas?

I took a little break from painting Dark Elves and worked on these two guys. General Drong and a Shield Dwarf. I messed up on that Shield Dwarf's right eye. I can see that much better after posting it up here. I'll probably go back and fix that later. Let me know what you think!

Dark Elves? Well, I've almost finished at unit of 30 Corsairs (pics will be up soon), and I've base coated two Kharibdyss and one Hydra, then I lack one Dreadlord on foot (Sword and Board), 5 Warlocks, 5 Dark Riders and 12 Darkshards. That'll have me caught up on painting, then I have to go back and base everything.

After that, I dunno, but I'll probably revisit my Lizardmen. Been awhile on those guys.

I have one question. How much damn money did you spend on all of your Warhammers in only 5 years? I've been doing Warhammer for 6 years and I have four armies, each Worth 5000 points, not 8000!!!

I'm liking the dwarfs. Painting eyes is pretty tough, but I think they turned out quite well!

Thanks, NB! Normally I do a better job than that, but this was merely a R&F shield Dwarf, so I hit him rather quickly.

I managed to get a few more Dark Elves painted over the Christmas holidays. This is the first of two Repeater Blot Throwers. I'll base it when I'm totally finished with painting the whole army. I'm tying to decide if I want to paint the second one in the same color scheme, or do something different for variation (sometimes it's easier to say, I'm shooting at the purple one instead of the teal one). Let me know what you guys think!

The other Dark Elves I finished were my Doomfire Warlocks. I hope you like them!

I think that Dark Riders, a Hydra and two Kharibdyss' will be my next units to work on.

So that are how many necks for how many heads?! ;):P
Looks good. The color reminds me of the salamander mummy I found in my parents garden... ;)

Great job on the Dreadlord and Hydra. That Hydra looks extremely sinister... very Dark Elfish. I really love what you have done with that model. The only thing I would suggest is to paint the eyes with a much brighter contrasting colour to really make it pop. I think it would add a great effect to the model. Either way, it is a very good looking paint job!

Thanks! I managed to get a little more work done on him last night. He'll be the first of two. I like this color scheme, but I want to try something different on my second. I'm thinking a blue-green color scheme. Any suggestions?
