I've had Lizardmen for awhile and have recently started painting them. Figuring out color schemes took quite some time but once that was worked out they have been very satisfying to paint.

Here is my first 100% complete (except for Purity Seal) model in the army:

Aside from some Greenstuff repairs I had to make I think it turned out really well.

I do too, looking forward to seeing more ;)

not bad, like the colors,
thought I think the paint on the throne
may have gone on a bit thick...
brush on a thin wash of some dark color and
you details should reappear.

Thanks for the feedback. I tidied up some of the details and it did improve. Will have my Skinks and Skink Heroes up next!

if you want your paint to have the correct thickness try a wet palette.
Very easy to make your self:
Have 1 box with low edges about half a kitchen cloth (paper) big. Put the paper kitchen cloth in it and soak with water. Now lay baking paper on top of it, let it saturate a bit and flatten it out (removing bubbles and wrinkles). Paint will keep wet enough to be used extensivly

I have used a wet palette in the past. In this case I had too much paint on the bristles when dry brushing.

Isn't the base too big?? Do you play 8th/9th or AoS?
Nice slain by the way, like the belly colours :)

These guys look great very regal colours! Bone helmets were done quite well too!

Reminds me of 5th edition paint schemes...

They all look excellent!
Do the different skink colors mean something? cos your bastiladon skinks are green and the ripper ones are purple :pompus:.

Thanks!

The Ripper riders eat poisonous plants to keep their mounts from biting :vomit:

Aside from that it's just a way for the riders and mounts to be distinguishable and also look well together.

I am not inspired by the actual Razordon model so I took some DE Cold Ones, chopped a tail-hole in their saddles, opened up some skinks and magnetized them.

The skinks are either decoration or function as actual Handlers.
