Not really Lizardmen related, but I've been working on this as a commission for a fellow forum member for the past three months. It feels good to have it finally finished, so I'm putting it on display here to celebrate.
The main reason I accepted the offer was to have a chance at painting some great looking models I'll never own. They remind me a bit of the Dark Souls games in style.

Survivors

Survivor A.jpg
This was the first one I did. I experimented with terminator shadows on the edge of the lit areas. It's something I often see overlooked when painting lighting effects.

this one is my favourite of the whole project. I like the way there is a cast shadow from one leg to the other. It doesn't even look painted on in that picture.

In my efforts to take a darker tone to the general appearance of the models, it was pointed out to me that the hair would look better with additional highlights. I agreed with the client, so that's what I did.

Lots more pictures to come, stay tuned! (if you want, that is. I'm not going to tell you what to do).

Wow that is some pretty fancy stuff there. Keep the updates coming. Excellent work!

Very nice, precise as always.

More pics please.

Wow that source lighting is excellent!!

Impressive. I actually think the subtlety of the flesh tones are excellent. Are they human or are they animated marble gods?

WOW this lighting is next level right now i cant even fathom how to do it myself awesome work

I would love to try Kingdom Death: Monsters some day. I have seen some reviews and it seems utterly bleak and spirit crushing... and very much fun! And to play with marvelously painted miniatures like those would just make it extra sweet. Great job!

White Lion

I had fun with the fancy freehand fur texture on this one. I like the creepy albino look I gave to the face.
I usually paint the mouths of monsters a dark colour to make the teeth stand out. It was suggested by the client that it might look better with a lion-coloured tongue instead. Once again he wasn't wrong.

These look amazing! The models themselves look fantastic but those paint jobs are incredible!

Wow, I really like the painted fur on the lion, it´s amazing!
The lion also seems to have been working out!!

Ps: he needs braces

The source lighting is beautiful, you have truly amazing painting skills.

They took three months to paint??? That is an amazing level of dedication! I don't think I would have pulled off that level of detail if I had a year! Thanks for the pictures and the tips!

The whole project was around three months, those first four survivors took two or three weeks.

Butcher

I really like the armour on this one. I avoided just painting greys, and added some ambient colours to suggest environmental reflection. I used the pattern of rain on a car window as reference for the blood on the cleavers.

Kingsman

This was the first model I painted without using Citadel paints. I got a big case of Vallejo paints for my birthday and I adjusted to the change nicely, taking me out of my comfort zone.

Incredible! That butcher is a brilliant model and the paint job looks awesome!
The kingsmen looks great! You've really brought it to life here!

Also really loving your butcher, especially the skull mask and the lanterns on his back. Is there any backstory to this character? Must be something epic. Fantastic work!

I don't really know anything about the story, I was only sent the models and the game itself is kind of obscure.

The Hand

I had to make it clear to the client that I don't use metallic paint. It is now over a year since I last used them and I haven't looked back, I could never quite get the hang of them.

Screaming Antelope

This one took a lot longer than I thought it would. I based the flesh colour on the reindeer steak I had at christmas. I like it's eyes, they're a weird colour.

That is so grim :)
What´s the game called?
