Contest February - April 2016 Visual Art Contest - WIP Thread

I'm attempting to bring my hands and eyes into some horrendously crude semblance of coordination. Only problem is I have no idea how to get pencil and paper crudeness into pixel crudeness. If only they had invented scanning technology in Lustria.

If you have a camera but no scanner, make sure your page is well lit and take a picture
from further away and then zoom in, this gets rid of some of the lens distortion you get
when you are quite close. later in your photo editor make sure to adjust the contrast
for stronger blacks and white areas.

there is a great deal of awesome art on this thread giving me inspiration! Here is mine so far, titles, art, and backstory still WIP

Initial sketch:

And the color test (using Microsoft paint... :shifty:)

Just remember that you can't pm an image, you will need something like photo bucket or imageshack. So you end up inserting a link rather than downloading the photo. @spawning of Bob should be getting inundated. Not sure where in Australia he is at but see if you can keep him up all night by pming the links at all hours of the night.

medium: pencil shavings on floor.

That won't get you many votes.

I just googled "pencil shaving art" and had my eyes opened.

Someone alert @Scolenex . . .

Fun fact: when I got the bulk of my army I got a bunch of old school saurus and skinks, already painted. Paint job wasn't great but good enough to field. I almost never did. But you throw a piece of air dry clay on one, make some jagged edges with a tooth pick, and draw a crack on that with fine point sharpie and easy Bob model.
Nothing. There is no way to make your own Bob conversion.

I may just reveal the secrets of that as well
Paint the crest of your Terradon rider orange! Currently purple scales, with a constellation belly, but that part is interchangeable!:spiderman:
