Would be nice to have one of them... But could be hard to keep the distance from your opponent's deployment zone...

Just drop them into battlefields attached to thousands of space marine drop pods :p

Heh, if we were talking warmaster, sure, there's no way I could do that in standard table top using green stuff (it would be SO expensive and time consuming). Copying that model pose for pose, I think it would be a good 24 inches tall minimum and 40 inches long.

The artist in question is exceptionally good and he has tons of Lizardy related pieces on his FB and DA page.

Hmmm, thinking about it again, it would have to be even taller, a carnosaur probably comes up to just below knee height. Super sulpey firm would be the way to go I think.

I wonder how costly It would be to convert a toy sauropod into this, mayby a smaller one how abaute 10' inches long? or would that be to smal?

Way too small (going off the cold ones around it's ankles).
I think close to 18 inches to the top of it's back (as it stands) and then add another 8 for the top of the head, if you were to then have it's tail straight, you'd be looking at it's length being more than double it's height. You'd have a mini that Dwarfs even the dread saurian.

I'd hate to be the poor sap who has to make rules for it (thinking of 8th ed rules)
    M...WS..BS...S...T...W...I...A...LD
    7.....3......0.....9...10.10..1..6...10
(Immune to almost everything it terms of leadership tests, probably unbreakable, when you're that large you don't care)
    3+ or 2+ scaly skin.
Largest of monsters, colossal (2D6 thunder stomps, can stomp other large targets, can't be auto wounded, or wounded on a 2 or 3, can't be heroic KB'd, takes only D6 wounds instead), tail attack, terror and goodness knows what else.

Probably playing like an ancient (not to mention giant) African water buffalo, it doesn't want you dead, it wants you flat.

In my post I didn't intend exactly after the scetch. I only thougth if it wold be impressiv enought on the tabletop. like the tanks of 40k they arent big enougt to fit that many marines but they look impressive enough on the tabletop.

And the guy ho started the tread did think of the posibility to use a star drake so I'm like putting up an possibility for him

    Then go with logic.
Do you like the sauropod? -> yes
Wonderful, do you want it -> yes
Awesome, are you willing to use it as a thunderlizard -> yes
Great stuff, then do just that.

And if the other person doesn't like the mini, poor hot coffee on his feet and tell him you didn't like his shoes.

No problem, I think I know what you mean, it's all part of the whole "each to their own" concept.

While I'm at it, I've put in a few of his other pieces...Yes I know a certain Steg still needs finishing. The way he is able to adapt and change the style on dinosaurs gives them a very interesting look and I constantly find myself going to his page when my enthusiasm for scales takes a dip.
