I haven't even started to paint the model yet. I still need to make a nice base for it :D

To get the best contrast for the colors, I would suggesting taking the picture with white paper behind the model and with some light shining on the actual model.

You can do that but it's better to use a black cloth. If you use a wite paper the paper will be lighter than the miniature making it hard to see. cloth will not shine so it will be darker than black papper.

Or build a small lightbox! They are so easy to make and the results are great! I just made one for myself a Couple of days ago. Here is how it looks.

    The results are great!

Is that just paper and a cardboard box?

Xlanax_lot do you use only sunlight or some artificial light for pictures?

The papers on the side of the box I am not sure how they are called, but are a type of semy-transparent paper used mostly by painting a design students, it is not totaly transparent. however, cooking oiled paper would work just as fine

Inside the cardbox is just white or bleck paper whichever you preffer

I mostly use natural light although artificial white light works great

Made some more things with greenstuff towards my competition conversion entry - it's evolving and changing as I found out my limitations with the medium :p

I'm new to greenstuff so learning as I use it - also thinking what other things I may need to order means I might have limit on time aswell but I think I know what I need so can look into ordering some :) - I was going to save alittle for the painting competition but it seems the converting one might take up more money than expected :p but if I get the model looking nice it'll be worth it :D

Well... That's a second problem I have... If only the dammed stuff wouldn't like to stick to things it's not supposed to... And if I could learn to leave my fingers away from it and use the tools...;)

@NIGHTBRINGER: But therefore you are the king of woodworking at this place! ;)

I do have a question actually - I think I use too much water when I'm working with it as bits seem to come off in the water and it dries a lime green at times am I using too much?
