So I have come up with an idea to run a Kroxigor horde at some point, or at least have the ability to do so. Any ways I am just a littile gun shy on paying the amount that GW wants for their current models. By the way I love the model,. Has anyone co e up with some great concepts or alternative Kroxigors? If so I would love to hear about it. Thanks..
 
Personally, I'd really like to use Forgeworld Fimir Warriors with a head swap; possibly Cold Ones. I think that they'd turn out really well with all the ornate armour painted up bronze.

They wouldn't look at all like the actual Kroxigor, though, so you wouldn't be able to mix the two.
 
As alternatives you could try:
-Sebeki warriors (from crocodilegames.com)
-Chapter house should sell some alternatives crocs too
- The minions range of Hordes from Privateer Press
- Avatars of War lizardmen Hero from our own Rikard
 
If you're brave, you can try shopping for "alternative" models in China. I know people that have built armies off of http://www.yoymart.com/
 
Also, try E-Bay, sometimes you can find Kroxigors for cheap, I know I got three of the for a decently low price, but they are the older ones.

I'm not that keen on the GW sculpts, so I came up with these. I'm running two units of Skrox, each with two Krox. I think that the two wingless cockatrice are quite coatl like and will go together in one unit. The medusa conversion will be joined by a second one, I'm just waiting for the medusa to arrive. I haven't decided which skink top I am going to put with it yet, I quite fancy Tehenhauin' torso (that doesn't sound right, but you know what I mean) I'll have to see what turns up on good old ebay!

This cost me about 30$, but I really loved it (it's from Hell Dorado, Forgotten faction I think).

I haven't personally seen the quality, but people on the forum for my local game store say they have used it. Some quotes from that thread:

The price yoymart charges for a lot of their stuff is even too high. They are just middle man who buys from one of the recasters on taobao (one of the good ones) and marks it up even more. What they did was just make a western friendly site (genius) which allows them to charge a lot more for the recast which in some cases is the same price GW sells its items for to retailers

Just got 2 items from there.
Heard from a video somwhere they use knockoff resin thats cheaper to produce but is more brittle. I have no idea how true this is, but its a theory.

The resin is much harder, making it brittle, so it doesn't have the warping problems that FW resin has.

I've never bought from them, so I don't know how legit is actually is. I would use a one-off credit card number if I were to use the site, for sure!

The figure thats lunging forward that you say cost you 30, any chance you remember it's name? I also think it's very sexy.

I have been thinking about using the minions alligators as kroxigors. Anyone know how they match up size-wise to the current kroxigors? Or rather, are they actually big enough standing next to one of our saurus warriors to be large enough to be a kroxigor?

Just a quick information about the last one from Starplayershop. I ordered a Bloodbowl Lizard team almost a month ago, still not a single miniature arrived. The seller doesn't answer to my Mails and i am currently arguing with him via PayPal, since thats the only way he reacts to messages :/
