Nice bard, My only suggestion is to add some more paint around the edges of the base,
seems like it only got 1/2 a coat of black paint.

I was going to but the client came to see the progress on the model and was so happy with it he had to have it right then...the paint on the edge came off cause that's the points I held it when I was painting it so
..he is happy and could only hold on for me to apply the top coat lol

right so an update before i get to my Halloween party

so since i could not chose what head to go with i came up with the idea to use both,

    20161030_214536.jpg

well in order to do that i had to go all zombie on the thundertusk head to i could fit the stone head in place...
    20161031_173153.jpg

after that its a simple matter of placing the stone head on the the thunder one and boom stone-thunder tusk the EOG ^_^

That is a cool conversion. I can't wait to see how it turns out... I'm sure it will be a fantastic finished project.

So I might have to give up on my led project for this engine of the gods the block I have to make to house the battery is big...what do you think

The LEDs look awesome! You could always make a tall scenic base to hide the battery under the model. Heck, you could even disguise the wires as vines or rope and that way you wouldn't even have to hide them!

Wow! Can't believe I missed it. I think you could do something along those lines and achieve a fantastic result (again!). Thank you for sharing, your work is very inspiring!

Solar engine is awsome, as is the conversion with the massive tusks. can any electritions etc weigh in on whether you could set these things up powered by batteries such as the watch batteries etc, they're tiny so would fit better surley?

Well after looking up more info on electrical work got it to run off of two coin cells ^_^yaa, now I need to find some thinner foam board or maybe some balsa wood?

well i give up looks like im just going to have to make an elevated base for my eog, i know it would have been easier to just do it that way from the start but i just over zealous and put the model together before i got the idea to use LEDs ah well had to brake to back to get it off and drill the hole but progress right:banghead::banghead::blackeye: 20161119_180540[1].jpg

    so Hurray update

so i originally did not want to have the batteries coming off the base as i wanted to have more portability with this model. Sadly no matter what i did i could not get the block to be the size i was happy with so i had to call it and move the battery case to the base. I then thought well can i get the power to run through magnets (obviously the answer was yes) but every time i soldered the magnets they would lose a lot of magnetism. So i thought well what if i solder a steel nut to the wire then place a magnet onto that and boom it works now i will be able to remove the model from the base and be able to transport it freely ^_^

    what do you think...

oh and thanks @Janf im happy you like my work, funny thing i still have yet to paint the skinks that go onto it (cant decide on the color lol but i might just go with green) looking back at it, the monster was my first big project and i will more than likely redo it again at a later date as i think i can do better (might endup selling her o offer it as a prize for a contest ^_^)
