Alright, get started here is how I would build. Carnosaur, use the skink oracle as a starpriest and convert a knight into a scar-vet on cold one. Use one of the extra heads and some armour from the carno kit.
Then get yourself a bastiladon or two and a starseer.
Then let us know how you like to play, aggressive or defensive or however. Let us know who your best friend or rival or what armies you think you will see a lot of.

I'll be playing age of sigmar. I think I'll prefer to play offensively. My girlfriend is interested in maybe sylvaneth. I know theres a skaven and a Tzeentch and a sigmar player at my LGS
 
Then you would be better off going for the shadowstrike, and the second start collecting kit. Running dual carnos is aggressive and effective
 
well my advice is to get all the armies lol. But no welcome and i will try to give advice if others dont beat e to the punch lol
