Blog New to the scene, here are my feral lizards

Hey, I've recently joined the AoS hype and got my lizards army started. A dopey slann summoned my little dudes and forgot to send them back to the heavens before flying off on his journey. For years the brave (10) lizards waited. Slowly getting more and more feral with the lack of slann magic to keep them sane. A skink starpriest with his small magic ability rose to the leader but even he isn't right in the head. My lizards would identify more with destruction than order at the moment.

Let me know if you want to see any other angles. I also have 30 skinks, 5 chamo skinks, 3 ripperdactyls and a dread saurian all semi-painted that i'll put up when they're done.

That is probably one of the best uses of the extra head!

Agreed... the Carno taking down the Troglodon is awesome. Definitely one of the best elements I have seen added to a base.

I'd recommend finishing your bases
before starting a new project.

and Maybe do Ripperdactals after that,
cause they seem like they would be fun.

Nice painting so far.
I do like the shape of that beast in general, but I am seriously considering to cut those huge spikes a bit if I ever get one. For me those are too big and make it look too... comic-like.

So there are optional parts included in the kit?
Could you describe what the options are? I am thinking about getting one some day and I wondered about that.
As for the spikes: for me the maximum size that still looks good is about the size of the 7th or 8th one counting from the tail.
Those things are just out of proportion IMO.

Not really optional stuff just stuff I haven't put on yet. More armor and spikes mainly.

I got some kroxigor and decided to give them a go. I can't decide on the colour scheme so could do with some help.

The moonhammer looks great! I like the purple you have there, what kind of color schemes were you looking to do?

All my saurus and big dinosaurs are purple scales and flesh coloured skin so I went for that first. I've tried painting the krox's tummies a few different colours like in the pictures above and can't decide which I prefer. My skinks are all bright green so I could make the krox that and say they're giant mutated skinks.

Actually that's a question I wanted to ask the old, eh, experienced guys around here because I wondered about that.

Is there anywhere in the lore an explanation why the Krox have that synergy with Skinks? I also assumed they were at some point bred from the Skink gene pool or something.
