According to the lore theres 4 types of lizardmen: slann, saurus, skinks and kroxigor. So I guess they're separate species and they just get the bonus cause they need to protect the weakest type? I like the idea of them being super hench skinks.
 
The kroxigor spawned out of the same pools as the skinks, usually at the same time as skinks. So the Kroxigor consider the skinks their spawn brothers. That's he 8th edition one anyway.
 
Sounds good. I was conservative and made everything blue, so I am looking forward to seeing your green Krox. :)
 
This is the one I've done so far. Haven't put on a second coat of green yet so should be a bit more vibrant. Then I might wash over it although I kinda like the bright green to constant the dirty purple.

No clue yet. I'll probably paint some other stuff and do the bases later.
 
I got over excited and half painted a load of things. I try to get everything painted enough to be playable then never get around to finishing things off. Sorry for not finishing the dread like the poll says. I'll get round to it one day. Although I just got a 2nd start collecting and a slann so you know...

I know that feel. Honestly I kinda prefer it cause it means I have models at all stages of completion, so if I ever feel like painting something specific or want to paint but don't have time to paint a whole model, I always have something at that stage ready for me whenever inspiration strikes
 
Yeah I know what you mean. I try and get everything to the point that they look ok on the field before finishing anything. It's annoying with horses that needs painting before gluing though.
 
Best idea, looks like one of those chocolate rabbits for easter! Haha! Actually looks like a dinosaur when you hit it in Joe and Mac. I miss that game, and my super Nintendo! Put a couple of cavemen at the base and it is perfect.

That is the best explanation even if it is 8th edition, I always imagine a skink priest looking over the pool as they emerge a bit like Saruman in The Two Towers

A great scene, the birth of the Uruk-Hai.
I also like that the really big ones have this special bond to the really small ones. Things like that make a world immersive.
 
That Carno sure looks hungry. Well - maybe not anymore.

Also, a Dread! Wow! Looking forward to see that progress.
