Hail fellow well met!

This week I should be taking delivery of 1000 points worth of Seraphon, and as I post a bunch of progress pics to instagram I thought I should at least post them here and add some kind of commentary so people can see what's going on and how I am getting on.

I have a loose deadline of the end of April which is when an escalation league for AoS is starting at my local GW which I want to be ready for - I don't have the starting points values yet, but I have about 57 models to paint for starters, so have my work cut out.

Here's a few bits of my work so far on other projects, and as soon as the Seraphon arrive I'll update!

My humblest apologies for the blasphemous lack of lizards so far... Next time there will be dinosaurs, I promise.
 
hello and welcomed you have a very nice style and I would love to see all you work I feel this is a very welcoming site and we don't mine seeing other models posted ^_^
 
Hello there and welcome from another newbie!
While I am not too convinced about the purple spirits (it looks good on the Spirit Hosts but not that well on the big thingie IMO although the rest of that model looks great) I have to say I LOVE that rusty Skeleton shield. Would you mind sharing how you did those rusty weapons, shields and armor? I am planning to start Deathrattle one day and this is pretty much how I'd like my Skeletons to look! :)

No problem at all.

Started everything with a white primer as I'm lazy for skeletons.

Weapons:

1. All over layer of GW Leadbelcher - might need 2 coats but it's so thick it should cover the white easily.
2. GW Technical Typhus Corrosion - I slap this on all over the weapons like it's going out of style. Give it a really good shake so the bits in it get mixed up though otherwise it's a bit weird. This'll make the weapons look terrible but stick with it. Good and thick.
3. Dry brush of GW Ryza Rust. Again all over, do a fair few light goings over rather than going too thick.
4. Back to Leadbelcher with little lines across the edges of the blades to make it look like the rust and dirt has been scraped off during battle.

This skeleton vampire throne thing is particularly amazing is this a kit? or a custom build? I love the blood bowl I want one :D
 
There's probably going to be loads going if you ask around... It's out of a kit that also makes a Mortis Engine, which is far more popular.
 
Really like ypur coven throne! Especially the purple on the spirits/ghosts around it... makes it somehow unique...
Now looking forward to seeing what you do with the seraphon you got!
 
I've emailed GW customer support, hopefully they can get a replacement sprue to me.

I had a fingerless spirit host a few months ago and they sent a whole replacement box which was nice.
 
They told me in the store, that if you bring it they give you a new one for free... had the same problem with one of my skinks... didn't bring it there yet... kept it for conversions. ;)
