Blog Return of the Ancient Painter: Troggoths added

Wow!

You're absolutely right about basing, it brought everything about the mini to a whole new level! What kind of "foliage" are you using? It's beautiful.

You did a superb job both with the airbrush and the regular brush. The gradients on both the shield and helmet are quite natural and pleasing to the eye, not to mention the highlights on the scalemail. Great job!

Tajima1 on Ebay Uk is where I get my foliage "white flowers" along with "natural shaped grass" I think the white is a good choice as it compliments the model and using a different coloured tuft will work but I always try to have white somewhere.

I don't really like the high elf basic trooper, but you make him look good.

Beautifully painted, especially the armored-cape pics in the back.

Same here but I have 20 and when all together I think they will look quite stunning on the table especially along side 20 swordsman and 2 Griffins, 10 Reavers and a Dragolord all sporting the same theme.

Definitely came out dark and moody. Good to see the use of different cold ones too, glad it works well as a conversion.

Not much to report on the painting front apart from I am now rebasing all my Lizards for AOS and as I go through each unit I will be adding detail etc that I did not do first time round.

My Guards are based just need painting.
20 Knight need doing
50 Warriors to do.
50 Skinks all based and base coated, these are new.

I'm very excited for doing my Starseer and Slann I'm going to attempt to copy this for the base.
