Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Just went back and started looking through your entire thread for the first time... it was an eye-opening experience :wideyed:

You have an amazing collection!

My favorites that stand out so far (I have only made it through the first 11 pages, need to take a break :doctor:):

Your wood elves. I love the dynamic poses of your treemen with their giant wooden spears. And the way you modelled each of the warhawk riders so that they are dive-bombing their enemies is amazing! I especially like the warhawk riders with the black hair, they looked incredibly feral and ready for a fight.

Your dwarfs. Truly huge and inspiring collection. SO MANY BEARDS! :oldman::oldman::oldman:

And last thing (a small one) is the unit fillers you have for a few of your empire units. I liked the extra touch, adds quite a bit of detail to a horde of infantry without buying all those extra models!!

Thanks so much Warden! That really inspires me to post more work! I'm glad you like them! :D I try to get really detailed with them but it doesn't always pick up on camera. I'm glad that you saw some of those nuances!

I hope you continue to enjoy the rest of my armies!

As far as the unit fillers go, I try to keep them to a minimum as much as possible, but they do add a nice dynamic to the group overall. Whenever I make one, I usually try to have an alternate use for them in mind, like playing capture the flag, or alternatively serve as a terrain feature, like a Sorcerer's Portal when I'm not using that particular unit.

I still have a box FULL of sprues that I haven't even touched yet (mostly TK and O&G). Once I work my way through the majority of those, I'll probably start making a lot of terrain features, unit fillers and alternate table tops to play on. It's enough to keep my 8th edition hobby going for years to come!

And mainly painted too!! @Crowsfoot would be proud.

P.S. Just reached 7000 posts! :wideyed:

Noooo, that not true it's impossible !!

Well, I finally managed to finish this project! This has to be the most delicate model I've ever worked on! And slightly top-heavy. Does anyone have any suggestions for transporting a single model like this? (It's quite big.)
