Long Time Lizardman Fan

Hello! Just checking in and saying hi to my fellow Lizardmen. I've been a fan of Lizardmen since I was 13, though I was never able to afford being able to field a full army of them (the Slann and Stegadon were too expensive for me.) But I picked up a friend of mine's army lately and I've always been a fan of all things reptillian, so I'm excited to join you on this forum!

My handle comes from the Weredragon superhero that I dreamed up when I was a kid...

....what? I figure if I was going to go all geeky, might as well go super geeky.

People might recognize me from other forums. I'm on the CDO as Bronze Bull!

I've joined the league and missed a bunch of sessions but I'm two games in. The first game I did crazy well and mauled the High Elves without losing anyone. The sad thing was in my second game against Skaven I had to play in night rules and learned that Saurus kinda suck in night rules if I don't buy torches. :/ I lost one Saurus, which killed my gold reserves. But I'm optimistic! I also gained another Saurus hero! (Got a large XP boost due to having a lower Warband rating.)

If you don't have Night Vision or a light source you can only see as far as your Initiative. In certain scenarios, your Initiative plus d6.

Saurus initiative is 1....:X

Actually the LIzardmen are a pretty strong warband despite Saurus limitations and low initiative. They can field 20 people (which is rare!) 21 with a Halfling Cookbook. I haven't looked into it yet, but I do think they are limited in Hired Swords.

I just got the minis I wanted to paint! They other minis were all unpainted but will be soon. :/ But I'm really excited!

GOOD NEWS EVERYONE: I stopped the dark ritual and foiled the Necromancer! The Liche Lord is still out in Mordheim, but I managed to save the Princess despite treacherous High Elves and the forces of Chaos.

Yep! A jungle princess! Per the scenario, Order factions only get 10 + 4d6 gold and a Plot Point for saving her. (Our guy who runs the Mordheim league runs in depth games!) Evil factions would have gained so much more. They gain d3 XP for sacrificing her PLUS a chance to get valuable loot including a Sacrifical Dagger that gives a bonus to XP gained from sacrifice!

Awesome stuff. Very curious about your Mordheim exploits, if you decide to create one definitely post a link to your Mordheim battle thread! (with pics! ). I am curious what you use for terrain as well.

We have great gameplay and painting resources. We don't have a whole lot of on Mordheim, perhaps you can fix this with a blog about your Mordheim adventures?
