I change my opinion. Alarielle isn't poxy anymore.
So she has changed from High Elves to Wood Elves, obtained a pair of leaf wings from somewhere and charges around on a massive great beetle that appeared from nowhere.
Oh, and she also got way fitter with the arrival of AoS, now that I see her more closely
Whoever painted the Alarielle model like that certainly knows how to paint!

I change my opinion. Alarielle isn't poxy anymore.
She was never poxy, although she never really did anything in the lore besides cucking her husband.
Well, the Sylvaneth are more like tree spirits, and the wood elves are still a sepearate faction.

I would agree if it wasn't for the Genestealer Cult codex (which I've now got in hardback!
) and perhaps the Battletomes for Fyreslayers and Kharadron Overlords (Dwarf emoticon)Certainly Fantasy was da best, except perhaps for Warriors of Chaos being OP right up to the end...
Nevertheless, I still answer the call of Warhammer (see what I did there?)

There are armies that can contend with them. Elves of any variety, Skaven, Ogres and Dwarfs come to mind.

Well, I only won with my Dwarfs against them because the Sorcerer had an unlucky miscast and my Thunderers somehow wiped the floor with some Marauders. And in one White Dwarf WoC slaughtered Ogres. High Elves also have T3 all round, and Skaven have bad leadership if they don't win.

One of the things that put me of Warhammer back in the day was miniatures like that, cause i thougt i never would be so good. Now that i have begun collecting, miniatures like that inspire me too paint, so that i will one day be that good.
