Does anyone else feel gypped by the design of cold ones? I personally feel that i would much rather have saurs riding on drakespawn. They are so much more aesthetic. I noticed that the Lustria banner actually has a saur riding on a drakespawn and NOT a cold one. Does anyone feel the same? Any conversions with saurs on drakespawns?

I actually bought some drake spawn to convert a cavalry unit and when I compared the rider to the mount, I noticed how small the drake spawn was comparatively. I was disappointed. I agree with you that the drakespawn cold ones are much more fierce looking than the almost comical Seraphon counterparts.

I actually prefer the Seraphon Cold Ones to their Drakespawn equivalents. They are a little regal looking with their facial expressions but other than that I don't have a problem with them.

Cold Ones are ours, so they're better then everything else.

Cold Ones are cool, but lets be honest here gentlelizs, the model is very outdated, with my SC! i noticed the many problems the models have. From rider to mount, they aren`t the best experience when building, no proper joints for the legs on the raider and no hard pin for the torso make them the hardest kit in the box. Maybe the army itself :/

I would love to have a newer kit for the Saurus knights, they need an update just for some QoL adjustments.

lol are cold ones really the hardest kit these days....
man they used to be like the 6th hardest. :oldman:
after all the multi-part metal kits.

I did conversion work for this and btw this is my first ever army. Unit is from start collecting box and won ebay lot for 8 drakespawn at decent price.

I chopped most of saddle off the mount. Then copped front part of saddle off the body section of saurus rider. Then put them together and, green stuff'd.

you did an excellent job!

I am not a huge fan of those huge spiky armor plates like they are used on the box, yours actually make more sense (movement-wise) and really make him look more aggressive.

So I actually added them above the other set so I used both. Plus some green stuff to hold and support aggressive pose. As well as I took alternate headpiece cut it to add a bigger tail Spike

I got myself 8 of the cold ones from here:

(they sell them separated from the chariot for €9,50 each. Expensive in the end, but 10 times cooler than the original cold ones.
