Blog Return of the Ancient Painter: Troggoths added

First stage of the weathering done, dryad bark applied with a sponge then an all over wash of light rust then while wet dabbed off randomly, then a dark rust applied to all metal surfaces.

2nd Stage complete,

Matt lacquer applied to seal the rust washes.

4/1 mix of Windsor and Newton Burnt Umber oil paint and white spirit applied as a wash all over.

Really amazing work, that plague marine is really coming to life (or decaying depending on your point of view). It is amazing seeing the painting progress as you keep adding more and more to the miniature. Can't wait for a bunch of them to be finished, but I can only imagine how long it will take!
