Well....I go to all that trouble of making a cool Dark Pegasus, magnetizing it and getting it painted up....and then I go and buy a Raging Heroes Dark Pegasus. Well, it could be fun running two Sorceress's on Dark Pegs I suppose. One with Dark magic and the other with Death. That could be nasty.

Aw, crud! Looks like the Photobucket police have found me! What service should I switch to guys?

This is a unit that I wanted to include in my Empire (Middenheim) army. I love the fluff and it's really nice having units that come together with so much hype to their name. I find that I'm much more invested in my units (even the cannon fodder) if they have a background story.

This is my take on their standard bearer for the unit.

Good work with those Middenlanders! The banners are indeed very impressive! :)

However it is the "confederate" handgunners unit that caught my eye. Is the colour scheme gray and blue? If so, can I possibly have a closer look, please?

Thanks, guys!

Agreed, the Swords of Ulric banner is very nice. Is that the standard plastic banner or did you make it yourself?
No, that's a standard banner for Empire troops. I just did the painting.

Lol, that was more of a joke among friends really. I've been rather apprehensive to post pics of that unit because I don't want to "offend" anyone. But if you really want to see a closer pic, I'll try to get one posted soon.

I've gone and done it! I've taken a nibble of the forbidden fruit! I've let a friend of mine talk me into starting a small Space Wolves force! I've fought it for nearly a decade, choosing to instead, focus all my time (and money) into fantasy. And up until now, I've been successful. But with the advent of kids into all of our lives, time spent getting games in has become a big issue. I need quick games. Thus 40K. I refuse to acknowledge AoS simply because it replaced Fantasy in GW's eyes. I've also ready many good things about the latest ruleset. So here goes....

I was also able to replenish some of my paint stock this weekend as well.

Lol, the GW manager tried to talk me into buying a full paint set for only the "reasonable" price of $750! I just let him talk...

Well, after it was apparent that I wasn't biting, he did tell me that he's never sold one of those sets before. I don't mind him trying, but DANG! That's a LOT of money to spend on just paint!

*Lol, my wife was in there with me at the time and I saw this look of "OMG! That's crazy!" come across her face, but after we left the store and were in the car, she told me, "If you want something like that paint set, maybe we could do that for Christmas?" She is such a sweet and supportive wife!

I shall be grateful. I am actually interested in seeing Empire troopers in gray, since I am thinking of painting my imperials that way.
As for "offending" people, I do not know if there are a lot of Americans on this forum who might think that it is something inappropriate. This whole fuss about CSA looks a bit ridiculous, IMO. We should cherish our history, no matter if we like it or not. and knocking down monuments is the last thing to do.....

Music to my ears!

Around here the resistance against AoS is slowly degrading, I am afraid. People either leave the hobby or are converted into this heretical thing.
Fluffwise I despise AoS, however the rules as it is, seem relatively good. Not as good as KoW, of course, but still decent. Perhaps, I should try it one day..... Oh, no! What am I saying?! It's got into me!

Around here AoS is king. That is the inescapable (and unfortunate) result of it being the currently supported GW game. Fantasy, T9A and KoW have very little voice around these parts.
