I kinda like "Mighty War Leader". Using Inspiring Presence is pretty good for Saurus hordes, and getting it for free along the command ability from the warscroll is not bad at all.
The other command traits just buff the General himself (reroll a hit or saves of 1) Both are good for a Sunblood, Oldblood or so, granting rerolls.

Just that you can use his command ability before teleporting a big unit to the enemy lines and guaranteeing that charge in very pivotal points of the battle.

The real issue for me with tjis model is two things:

    1. his sbility is s command ability, this means thst unless you take one of those megs big bsttalion that con can play only in gsmes of 90000000000000+ pts you will hsve to sacrifice the slann being yoir general and therefore he wouldnt be sble to tske command traits, which in my oppinion takes him down a lot, to the point where he is no longuer points effective

    2. The center model cant move, so you cant use it on single models like a carnosaur

Sorry mate.... Unless you get one of the megs bsttalions you can only use one command ability, that of the general. So you cant do a double teleport snd use his command ability, you would have to use a summoning spell to mske the trick work how you sre thibking it. I also toyed wigh this idea.

but thabkfully since you choose the order in which things happen in the hero phase you can use the command ability in your side of the bosrd before teleporting the horde you need to charge, on the next turns you just have to teleport the oldblood next to units that need to make charges.

At first i was also really surprised to see him go up but after thinking of the posibilities and the combos we can make i believe he is pointed fairly.... Remember you don't need a slann to use masters of space and time

Mighty War Leader allows the Saurus general to use Inspiring Presence AND the command ability on his warscroll.

Oh well.. thanks to your comment I just saw a good reason for the upcost @Aginor !

Teleport the horde at 9" and the Oldblood with the double tp from Slann. Keep 1 of the 1st line still and the rest get to move 3" -> 6inch charge from 40 man buffed saurus warriors with spears anywhere on the table without a warning and only failing charge with bad luck..

Not to mention having 3 hordes around and all of em get the bonus and can reform via those 3" as his command abilities says "EACH Seraphon unit within 10" " .. daym I reconsidered already. Gonna try this for sure. :D SO MANY LISTS TO BE TRIED, SO LITTLE TIME ARGHGHGHGH :rolleyes:

Edit : Oh well nevermind, just saw @Xlanax_lot comment, he is right. You won't be having oldblood as a general so you cannot use this command ability. Oh well :p

Well in the Fangs of Sotek you can make OB your general then you can still use OB on Carno's command ability and Slann still has a teleport. The big bonus there is that on the first turn you can move your 3 Sunclaw boosted Warrior units 19". That could be 120 warriors 5" from their deployment area. Alternatively if you have second turn that means your charge threat range is 11+2d6" and could possibly get Turn 1 charges if your opponent moved. Saurus Knights are even more ridiculous.

In Dracothion's Tail it gets ridiculous. Teleport an Arcane Vassal to where you want then summon OB and your flavor of Saurus for a 6.1" charge (possibly with +1" and/or re-rolls). Next turn teleport the OB somewhere and rinse and repeat.

We're now a very fast army on top of already being a very good assassination and attrition army. He helps in all three of those aspects so yeah he probably should have a price increase.

I am little lost, how did you get the 19" move, wouldn't it be 16?

How do you get an 11"+2D6 threat range? wouldn't it be 5"+ 2D6?

    What am I missing here?

Can anyone confirm the point cost of the Starseer? Is he 200 or 180 points?

Plus the theoretical 3" if you take an Old Blood as your general. Remember the post was me defending why the Old Blood no one uses went up in points.

The first turn of the Fangs of Sotek you get +3" Move. So hero phase move 3" with Old Blood command, movement phase move 8" (total 11") and then charge for 2d6".
