Blog Flako's den

Looking good! Couldn't read much of the text on you side cause I don't understand French (had Latin at school no French...:meh:) but the pictures show great stuff... And at least I understand "Bonjour"...
Can't wait to see the finished product. :snaphappy:

Tetto'Eko divination ball is painted, to have a vision of space. I hope you'll like it.
See you on https://flakosminis.blogspot.fr/2017/09/tettoeko-2.html if you want to see tutorial

Lots of talent spotted, good job !
I am very grateful for the tutorial by the way ! May I ask how would you try to explain to a newbie like me, the way that the shades were used over the gray / white ball in order to end up to this awesomeness ?
I somehow can control the washes now but I never seem to paint with them that effectively.

Keep them coming !

Lookin' great! I need to paint mine soon and you can be sure that I'll be keeping a close eye on your thread!

Heh, I tried to do the starry orb thing, but eventually gave up and painted it solid blue... Congrats.

I really love that model.

Thank you guys.

To paint the orb I didn't use shade paints but 'normal' paints: 2 blues, 2 purple, black and white. First I used an illustration of the space in the internet that I liked and I tried to do the same.
I paint some parts in dark purple and the other in dark blue. i mixed the 2 purples and teh 2 blues to tint each color. I painted in small touches, sometime I painted with dots. I used ochre and turquoise too for some details.
Then I took a wide brush, put a little of white paint and blowed on it. The paint is thrown and simulate stars. Fot this step, you have to protect part of the mini you don't want to throw paint.
When the paints were dry, I used brilliant varnish.
I hope you understood me haha

Now I'm happy to show you the finished palanquin ;)
