Hi everyone I just saw a post on TGAC, mentioning the idea of wattsapp group for Seraphon users around the globe, and I thought it might be interesting so I thought I might just as well post it to see if it is worth it and if there is enough interest to create one.

Its basically a messaging app that uses cellphone data to send free text, images and videos... probably the most widely used messaging app in the world.

Basically it would be a group where you get messages in your phone

I'm not a millenial but fairly up with technology. Whats the point of Whats App?

How is it different from Messenger (which you can have without Facebook spam)? Discord (awesome!) ?! What's so special about it?

It looks like another way to be immediately messaged/imaged by people when there are already those ways available on my phone/pc.

My understanding is its big in Europe/Americas mostly just like WeChat is big in China.

It's similar to discord just got a better interface really. It's basically just a group messaging like you said just the most convenient one.

Just what you said! The only thing is that it is big in americas and europe but it doesn't have anything new or disruptive

That alone makes me not use it (apart from the glaring issues with privacy that is).

Yeah discord a bit better for large communities but I can't stand the interface. I'm enjoying the WhatsApp for seraphon as it seems quite personal
