Wonderful acquisition! These were my favorite models from the old dwarf range, I always wanted an army of pirate dwarfs . Looking forward to their repaint!

Well, I'm still working on those Slayer Pirates, but while washes, dry, I worked on a few other pieces as well!

Next, I've also been working on a unit of 20 Teutogen Guard. (I've got 10 more Teutonic Guard on the way - 9th age's answer for bringing these guys back. We'll see how they stack up with the rest. Hopefully well, since the Teutogen Guard cost a fortune on eBay. Usually something around $25 per model!) Anyway, I've had these guys forever and they've been needing some paint love. I've finished Ar-Ulric (basically an Arch Lector), a Warrior Priest of Ulric and the Teutogen Guard Champ.

Lastly, I also finished this Slayer from the Forge World Dwarf Command kit. (Don't worry, that's a Dragon Pelt he's wearing! Maybe....)

I finished my new Dwarf BSB last night as well! I really like this Forge World model over the GW one.

Here's the two models together. GW on the left and FW on the right. I'd love to know what you think of the two. Which do you prefer and why?

I would prefer the GW dwarf with the FW banner

I like both... maybe the GW version a bit more... the fw guy has a face like a garden gnome... cause of the nose I guess..

Lol, I can see that. I actually like the FW one much more because of the GW's face! He's too fat! Plus, his helmet is weird. Like an iron pot turned over on his head. I also like the bigger banner. If it is the banner for the entire army and has much more impact on the game, then in my mind, it needs to have a greater presence on the table top.

I repainted the eyes on my A-Rock in order to make them a bit more intimidating. I'll work on finishing the base up soon as well. (No small task!)
