1. Welcome.

2. Start a blog. I'll follow your progress.

3. Did you prime them before the enchanted blue?

4. Do you have questions?
Thanks!

They were definately Chaos Black'd from one of the big spray cans primers, and then I think I gave them two coats of Enchanted Blue from a spray gun as well. That was a few years ago, but they're a nice even colour with no smearing, so still a good base to start from.

I'm considering simply drybrushing the flesh with a Enchanted/Ice Blue mix, since straight Ice seems like a pretty harsh difference. I'm also thinking of applying a blue wash, but not sure if I should do that before the drybrushing, or after and swab it off the highlight areas (to try and help blend in the drybrushing)? Back scales are getting a blue wash at the same time, then drybrushed with a darker blue (probably Midnight, maybe a Midnight/Enchanted mix but they seem a lot closer).

After that it's mostly just eyes/teeth/claws and metal/stone bits, then I can move on to the only blacked Saurus unit next month!

Blog-wise, is that done on here or should I set up a Blogger/Tumblr?

Here in the blogs subforum. Much easier to upload pictures

This thread is a nice idea, I feel inspired to try finishing my saurus oldblood on a carnosaur this month. And to have some Mordheim games.

February 2018

I hope to finish my Black Templar and my Maggotkin army.

Around 30 Templars

Maggotkin consists off,

Great Unclean One
30 Plaguebearers
6 Plague drones
9 Nurglings
2 Poxwalkers
Chaos Gargant
Horticulous Slimux
Sloppity Bilepiper

Ambitious, always looking forward to more Black Templars.

Over on Gettin' the Host Back Together, I intend to start and finish basing my oldblood on carnosaur. It will be the first base I'll use cork or real rocks on instead of just shrubbery. After that I'll post pictures of my original Kroq-Gar from years back for comparison and motivation!

Also this month I aim to find a schleigh mini pentaceratops for an alternate cold one or few. Sadly can't find the painter's blog who showed that works well.

you can do it!

Bit late, but never mind, the month's only just begun.

I'm hoping to get all my Tyranid warriors touched up and redone after finishing my Screaming Bell in January. If I do get my Tyranids done this month, I'm going to paint my scratch-built Plagueclaw Catapult (that you can see in my making and painting blog here)which is now undercoated and has a chariot base stuck underneath it, and it also needs to have a piece of 'rope' connected to the crew's chain and the protruding bit that the rope winds around on the catapult.

As will probably surprise no one I have changed tack and i'm back on the genestealer cults for now. I want to get all the models I currently have built (roughly a dozen) done this month, and have finally decided on a colour scheme (probably).

As some of you know I've started a blog Huanata'Kor remembers and you can see my progress for the month within the blog.

I hope to have painted a unit of skinks, my Eternal Warden and a Skink Starpriest, also to finish building mu other 2 units of Saurus guard.

Just realised that I'm working this weekend which means only two left for painting this month!

I need to up my game.......

Ah, just saw this and am likin what i see, i dont have an army blog but maybe thats something i can work on, ha

My goal is to finish off some odd models for a list im currently running for 8th/9th edition, that includes a unit of 20 temple guard, 1 salamander, 1 saurus bsb

This month I aim to:

- Finish painting the second SC Nurgle box (half a unit of plaguebearers, nurglings and plaguedrones to go)
- Paint both Mournguls I am getting for my birthday (harder than it sounds for me because I'll need to decide on a basing theme for my Death army at the same time)

I'm not going to commit to anything more than that because we're going away for half term and February is a short month as it is!

Half way through?

Mournguls are done! And a bonus banshee.

The plaguebearers are finished... So technically I have the nurglings and plaguedrones to go, but I'll be honest doing this skullvane manse upgrade is a looooot more interesting right now.

Mines here just waiting on 4 more orders to come in!

Halfway through....

1. I want to finish my Bastiladon. ----> Snakes are done. Base still missing
2. I want to finish two more Citadel woods. ----> Done. Pictures in my blog soon.
3. I want to finish my set of Terradons/Ripperdactyls ----> Some details and bases missing. Proooobably done this week.
4. I want to build and paint my Sunblood. I built and greenstuffed him. Not primed yet as I am in the process of trying out my new airbrush spray primer and I want to test that on something else first, before spraying the Sunblood.

So it looks good right now.
