Thanks for the compliments! The models can be found here:

The pay what you want models can be bought for $0.00 (free essentially) if you just want to take a stab. When I bought them they were all on sale for a $1 each, so if you really want to jump in I would suggest waiting for another sale or searching the interwebs for other free models.

As for the roads the foamcore gets a coating of spackle to give it texture, but the dusty effect is from painting yes. The edges have some woodland scenics blended turf with some batches of field static grass. Then it's all sprayed with PVA to keep it from falling apart.

Bought the bundle with around 30 models in :)

I post about far-too-expensive plastic fantasy soldiers on an Internet forum, I guess "lack of self control" is pretty much on the job description...

Awesome, I hope they work well for you! Post pics when you have them :)

I have the griffin and a skycutter along with Prince Imrik on Dragon if your serious, all unpainted and I will do you a good deal :D

Well, I might be interested in the skycutter if Aginor isn't....

Yeah, I'll pass. It would make me uncomfortable to have that big of a backlog right now, and while I like the birds I don't like the riders that much.

Ah, I just printed directly to cardstock, makes it really easy. Not every printer can do that unfortunately. I may try printing directly on printer paper though, if you think it is sturdy enough.

Nope I would stick with cardstock, I may take the pdfs to a printshop for another copy yet

Looks like I'll stick to the cardstock then haha

Been awhile since I've been able to paint since I've been on travel because of work. Here is a mortis engine that I finally finished. Let me know what you all think! Tried lots of new techniques on this one.
