If you ever feel curious about it, try it. IT'S FANTASTIC. Trust me there, best strategy game I've ever played.
 
These snakes are nearly 20 years old I think... I bought mine when I was about 15... though I guess yours are a little younger...

And KOW is nice cause you can build every unit as a little diorama due to multibasing...

I also bought them when they were released but I just can't remember when that was... Maybe they were out on 6th or 5th edition even. I'm 34 btw just so you can compare.
 
Mine are from 5th edition as far as I remember... and I went on hiatus after 6th edition came out...

Itepixcauh, i know you get asked a lot about painting, but could you give some insight on how you did that beautiful skin and the red scales? I have 4 of these razordons to paint, and im trying to find a colour profile that will fit my army.

I wasn't planning on showing this little fella until I had the full picture for my Rhinosaur Horde but you know...

When I got back into the hobby this was the first proper miniature I painted, So it's not as smooth as the later miniatures for my army but still I adore it. Problem is I thought it was a good idea to varnish it with a rattle can matt varnish...

IT WASN'T

The whole model ended covered with a dusty white coat, somehow I managed to corrected a bit and save the miniature but you can still see it and the colours never got back to their original state. Still, one of my favourite miniatures ever made and I'm quite proud of the paintjob, specially the one underneath all that varnish.

A thing of beauty.

Regarding the matt lacquer, if you can get Testors dullcoat and give it a light coat it might correct the white haze but test it on a piece of the model first, or apply a matt lacquer with a brush.

I learned that trick afterwards, sadly I had already corrected this one by applying a normal satin varnish over the dusty parts so can't go back to it.

I just went through your whole blog and I must say, truly inspirational stuff! I really like your bold highlights and brush-use (couldn't just say "style" as you commented that on my blog and I thought it would seem repetitive and insincere. I have problems...)! Especially the way you paint scales, the next time I have something scaly on the table, I'll take another look at your pictures and try to do something similar. It's very striking!

Damn, I want to paint Lizardmen now, but I just can't justify it since I have so many unpainted models from armies I actually play... Why do I need to sleep!?!

I can only echo this @Itepixcauh has a style that brings models alive, mine look flat and boring but his are vibrant and look motivated into action, most improve :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I know that feeling, I've managed, not without a great effort, to restraint myself to only two systems (Kings of War and Deadzone/Warpath) and only to play one army at a time. That's the only way I've managed to have almost all my army painted.

Still, it's very hard work not to sample other world's out there...

Yeah. Between my Deathrattle and Seraphon, and helping a bit with my wife's Sylvaneth I am pretty much saturated painting wise. I'd love to do more, I just don't know when.
 
Beautiful work on both the bastiladon and the stegadon; I can ::::::barely:::::: make out the varnish issue in the photograph on account of your fabulous painting skills :artist:
