Skink conversions

Damn that's cool!

Always wanted skink coldone riders and now you just made me spend a small fortune!!! ;)

I think they can be enhanced but depends on your greenstuff skills, I would cut of the saddle and fashion a pelt with foot holders.

Get a painting blog started so we can see how they turn out, any idea on the expansion of the unit?

To be honest I'm new to the hobby so I'll see how I go with green stuffing, as for expanding the model I had ideas on potentially having bastiladon scales as battle armor (have not tested if it will look nice or not yet), razordon heads on the old ones as a skull helmet ( you can see one in the picture slightly) and at one point I was considering handing another skink with a blowpipe behind the first one but I think that may be overkill, especially to my budget ;)

Any suggestions?

It is more cost-effective than the old metal Skink raider models. And I have ways of getting miniatures cheaper

Just for fun, here's a skink defender (base is not going to be used, will be replaced with a larger one).

Initial ideas will be to have one or more skinks holding the scale while others have blowpipes or javelins behind it, will post results when I have them

Parts; easy this time, just the spare scale from the bastiladon set and a regular skink

I admit I don't really see how the Skink could carry something as big as that, and even less how it could possibly still be called a buckler.

...it looks really cool though. :D

They are strong and deceptively light
