Blog Chicken Lips Warhammer Armies

Just finished a Hunter on Rhinox and two Sabertusks. I and my friends have "house ruled" that an Ogre Hunter can take a Rhinox as a mount for 55 points. Here they are:

And here is another project I've been working on:

The one on the left is wearing the itzy bitsy teenie weenie red white-dotted beach bikini!
Very nice and original looking ogers all along! Good job... as usual! ;)

That barrel turned out well, what colours did you use?
Thanks! I base coated it with Dryad Bark, then drybrushed with Gothor Brown (sp?).

Haha, yup! That's the female Ogre model. I wanted to make her as feminine as possible! I love that she's carrying a giant rolling pin and has a little cooking pot on her arm like a purse! Lol!

How did you like building the stonehorn?
I love it! This is the second one I've put together and I have a third in the works! Love this kit!

It's really not as bad as some other's I've put together. (Mortis Engine has to be one of the worst.) The model itself is rather sturdy. The only thing I'd suggest is not gluing the Stonehorn down to the base until you're done painting him, because there are some really hard to reach places under it due to fur hanging down below. Super fun model though with tons of bits left over!

The first one I ever made was a Thundertusk and then I used the left over Stonehorn "bone mask" as part of the BSB's banner (since there is no official BSB for Ogre Kingdoms). Worked great!

Yeah my personal least favorite is the mortarch kit. Spirits on the base suuuuuccckkk

I think it's GW's way of forcing you to buy certain models. They can "distribute the wealth" that way. They are in the business of selling models, anyway.

I finished this High Elf Prince (on foot) this weekend. I dropped him and broke his sword blade midway right as I was putting the finishing touches on him. I hate that.
