I've been sick of late so my painting has been suffering as well, but I got this bad boy out and started throwing some paint on it. This is a BIG model to paint up! I still have a LOT of work to do on it, but I'm getting there!

Great model and great painting. Wow that model is big! I've always loved that model.

Yeah! It's huge! And it's taking a LOT longer than I initially thought it would! Not quite sure that I like the giant skulls on the tower portion. Considering cutting them out and making huge openings in the sides instead. That means that I'd have to do some serious Green Stuff work though. And that's not my forte. Might also cut the "Door to Nowhere" in the tower's bottom level that you can see there.

I finished a Dark Elf BSB. I'm rather pleased with this model since Dark Elves don't really have a dedicated Dark Elf model from GW.

Is that a kitbash or a unique model from a different range?

He looks great, that dragon on the banner is really lethal looking.

Thanks, Warden!

It's not a kit bash, but rather, a GameZone miniature. They've got some really great models, including some "different" Cold Ones. (Dark Elf, admittedly, but still....). They might not fit everyone's taste, but options are good.

Mines still in the box until I finish painting models.....

Different colour scheme on your Ogres, the skin looks cool, the fire effect gives the model life and the OSL is good, what's the story are they high mountain Ogres?

Yup!

They live high among some of the tallest peaks of the Mountains of Mourn, seldom stirring out of their hibernation-state, but when they are aroused to action, whether to replenish their stockpile of food, or to bring their wrath upon their perceived enemies, they come as an unstoppable avalanche of cold, hard, unmerciless death. Never could a being live at such a high-altitude and in such extreme cold conditions,if not for the Ogre's regenerative abilities. This has caused their skin to turn a dark blue color much like the ice that they live upon.

That's about as far as I've gone with it. Lol. Glad you like them though! I'm having fun with these guys!
