That is how it happens sometimesFunnily enough they're newer sculpts than the majority of my Seraphon models.

Do you have a picture of that model?I'll be fielding a 22 year old White Dwarf promo miniature from 1996 as part of my Dispossessed army for my dual Warden King/Longbeards combo I came up with, so expect to see him painted up when he arrives.
Sounds great!I'll be fielding a 22 year old White Dwarf promo miniature from 1996 as part of my Dispossessed army for my dual Warden King/Longbeards combo I came up with, so expect to see him painted up when he arrives.
Agreed on all counts. Good choiceHe's still in the mail, but it's the 1996 one here. Picked up him on ebay for about 9 dollars, but I'll have to strip him which only takes all of 5 minutes with a metal figure. I almost went with the 2003 model, but the beer in the helmet wasn't really doing it for me and he cost 20 dollars. I really like the 2008 White Dwarf but no luck tracking him down.

Just say it's an order of longbeard knightsThe White Dwarves....hmmmmm sounds racist, so probably not.![]()
That would actually work but to be honest I don't think that they would fit together well style wise anyway...Just say it's an order of longbeard knights
Well yes. I never said they would be stylistically compatible. However it would be an impression thing. That would actually work but to be honest I don't think that they would fit together well style wise anyway...
Also you would probably be broke afterwards since those are pretty rare aren't they?
Oh I didn't know that!I mean I guess if I had hundreds of dollars to spend and all the time in the world to troll ebay for rare miniatures to make a single unit of Longbeards, then sure. Seriously though, if you don't count the novelty ones (pirate, space marine, etc.) there's only like three or four models you could use. They actually put out rules for The White Dwarf for Age of Sigmar in an issue of White Dwarf a couple of years ago. No points attached to it though so it's purely for open/narrative play. Also I don't know if you guys recall, but GW basically renamed their Dwarf Slayer model from 8th edition to The White Dwarf and changed the cover art to just have a white bearded slayer model on it. It was pretty dumb.
