It decided to go dark outside, the colours on the Trog are bit washed out in the picture, just that small bit. Why I decided to go with the venom spitting part instead of the tongue I will never know.

Thanks again, I think it's just I haven't got a proper set up yet. I have to sit around waiting for the right moment to take a picture where the detail can be picked up and colours won't be washed out. Another being that I haven't got a proper camera yet, all pics are taken by a phone camera.

 

Do you have an outside porch or a folding table?

 

I have a conservatory, I usually go out there sometimes with some white paper when I take pics

 

So no back or front yard?

Well I do have a back and front garden, it just gets windy here sometimes and it rains often (welcome to the UK) So I prefer to take pictures inside and that part of the house has the most light.
If I recall it was a thing for the entire road to have conservatories, we used to have a wooden one but then got a second-hand conservatory as the wooden one was starting to leak and fall down.

Ah it could mean something different in the US then?

 

It's usually associated with gardening and greenery

:a room with a glass roof and walls, attached to a house at one side and used as a greenhouse or a sun parlor.

 

Ah so it's quite similar then, my family sit out there when the weather is nice. I also keep my cactus plants out there too (I only have two)
Just the right place to go a take the pictures, there is a lot of light that comes through but there will still be that slight shadow.

 

That make sense. Have you thought about a lightbox and using flash. Amazon have decent ones for $20 USD or so

 

I will have to have a look later, I see others take amazing pictures and the ones don't really pick up much of the models colours or details.

 

I'll see what I can do as far as a tutorial soon.

On another note, today's plans are murky:

I have to run errands after work.

I'm hoping to finish the tomb guard and prime the commission figures

Video games count as a hobby right? I went to the gym... does fitness count as a hobby? I might watch some Samurai Jack as well.
