Nope... unless you can perform story editing up to his level and create the beautiful tacticas he has made in the past.

I still believe that it is the quality of the posts that really counts. How helpful they are, what they do for the community and so on.
I may have gotten to 5000 and yes I got there quite quickly, but I guess probably a quarter of my posts is idle chatter made ouy of boredom or saying "good job, I like it" where a simple click of the "like" button would have sufficed.
I am way more proud of the cases in which I gave advice for army lists that ended up working, or the few times when I was able to give painting advice.

Guys like @Ritual @Warden @tom ndege and a number of others are nowhere near 5k but deserve at least the same amount of praise for being really helpful and valued members of the community.

Sort of the same here... working outside and digging the holes by hand (and shovel) to plant the trees makes it hard to type as much as I'd like to... cross reading and pushing like buttons during cigarette break is the thing...

Well I can't do that. But by trade I'm a records management archivist so being keeper of an index or a database Is My Jam

Do memes and 8th edition tactics count? ;) Woodworking tips? Polls? HAHAHA :p

    Surely Star Wars content! :D

I think you have contributed very positively to this community. Your posts are excellent and you deserve the credit!

No argument from me! Fantastic members!

I'd also add @Killer Angel and @Scalenex (I still refer to his amazing 8th edition tactica posts) to the list

I guess you'll have to take it up with him then!

So how much would @NIGHTBRINGER drop if we only count "useful" posts? :p

You have some good stuff as well, even if you are prone to the infamous double post! You've also set up some very interesting/useful threads and have a generally positive and happy demeanor. Plus you're a fellow Tomb King. All in all, a fine upstanding and valued member of Lustria!

We won't hold the AoS content against you! ;):p

I guess that would depend on what you define as "useful". As it would for anyone else. :)

Like I said, one has to define what is considered to be "useful". A definition that I would imagine would vary greatly from person to person.

I think you'l be hardpressed to find a definition that doesn't make a sigificant amount of it "useless" unless you go for extremely vague ones like "everything is usefull" :p but yea it's probably less bad than you'd expect at first glance ;)

"On topic" is an interesting idea. Technically the only things on topic are hobby/painting and Warhammer Fantasy Battle stuff (tactics, lore, list building, etc). AoS wouldn't even count, that was just added later :wideyed:. And if things can be added later and still counted as on topic, then who is to say what is on topic or not. Do we subscribe to an authority figure to make that determination? Do we subscribe to popular vote? Or do we subscribe to our own personal whims and feelings?

To be (on topic) or not to be (on topic)? That is the question!

Can't we all just agree that I am a hero! :hilarious:

I ask the following question: is laughter and joy useful?

O topic tends to be viewed per post, so unless you're going to go by the logic that the posts need to be on topic for the message board I disagree with that :p

    Short anwser: no.

no it's not. Obviously we all need to be efficient and effective. :p

I guess we all contribute what we can when we can. Obviously, I want to add to like the tactica and battle reports but at this time I can't because I have no time to play.

I can however contribute to fluff n stuff because that I have time for and when I do have the space, painting as well.

But we all have those time periods when we can't do too much but we want to still be active and we become major meme lords which DOES contribute to a lively and fun community.

    Denial thy name is @Canas

Search your feelings. You know it to be true.

Then we should probably shut down the forum altogether! :D
